"I worked with Kyle to complete grading and site prep (including rock, compaction and drainage work) for a shop yard area on my property in Cocolalla, ID. Kyle put in two very long days, helped coordinate rock delivery, managed to get over 200 TONS of rock distributed, compacted and ready for my concrete pour. I really enjoy working with Kyle, was impressed by his abilities (he can make his CAT 306 Excavator DANCE!) and also how well he worked with others onsite, lending a hand or his equipment when needed. I can't recommend him highly enough, and suggest you consider him for your next project."

"Hired this outstanding company to help clean up my Grandma's property. The owner came and gave a bid to clean up a yard full of leaves and tall grass, trim 14 rose bushes, remove a giant 6 foot round rose bush, dead plants and weeds from over a hundred feet of gardens, clean up garbage and plants in a rock parking area and much more. Not only was the bid unbelievable, but the work was beyond expectation for the price. You will not find better locally. Will recommend and hire again!"

"Prompt follow up to our inquiry and they were able to work with us helping define the work and offered good ideas. We understood scheduling would be a challenge going into the busy season but they stayed on top of it and the work went really smoothly. Good folks to work with!"

"I hired HH&E to clear some land and lay some gravel for my driveway. Honestly it was a great experience the guy is hands down one of the most cordial and professional contractors I've ever hired. Very good communication he let me know what was going on progressively and he got the job done in a very timely manner. I would absolutely hire again."

Snow Removal questions, answered by experts

Before firing up your snowblower, ensure that essential switches are in the correct starting position. Take a moment to double-check the throttle, fuel shut-off, and choke, ensuring they're firmly set to the "on" position. Precision in verifying each switch's alignment is crucial, so don't rush through this critical step.

The process to winterize your landscaping depends on the plants you have, but generally speaking, you should rake your lawn to avoid leaves from smothering your grass and leading to mold and fungi growth, wrap young trees to protect from fluctuating temperatures, and fertilize your lawn to provide some nutrients for the grass through the colder temperatures. You can also consider marking off small trees and shrubs to avoid accidentally damaging them with snow removal tools.

That depends on the size of your snow blower and how efficiently it uses fuel. Most snow blowers will last between 1 and 2 hours on a full tank of gas. Larger blowers tend to use fuel more quickly and need refilling more often.

Keep in mind, the average snow blowing project for a home driveway takes around 30 minutes. Large driveways and yards will take around an hour. A full tank of gas should be more than enough for snow removal, although the height of the snowfall will have an effect, too.

While removing every snowflake from your roof is unnecessary, you should remove a significant buildup of snow. Since snow is wet and heavy, it can easily cause damage to your roof, which can lead to needing costly repairs.

Additionally, when the snow melts but has nowhere to go and refreezes, it can create an ice dam, causing mold concerns due to water leaking into your attic and ceiling. For these reasons, it’s best to hire a snow removal professional to clear heavy snowfall from your roof as soon as possible.

Leaving a significant amount of snow on your roof can be risky. Most roofs are designed to handle about 20 pounds per square foot of snow, but exceeding this limit can lead to a roof collapse. A collapse can cause severe damage to your home and belongings and poses a physical danger to anyone inside. Furthermore, heavy snow accumulation increases the risk of ice dams, which can cause leaks and water damage to your roof, attic, and interior walls.
