"The owner was a hard worker and diligent when s here. He over booked himself. So he leave the job unfinished, and go to the next job . He did not returned to complete the job. Its been August, September, October 2025. The work started at the end of July. He asked for payment before He completed the job. His experienced as a carpenter was not good enough. I would not recommend that company."

My name is Tyler Dixon and I grew up in Twin Falls, Idaho. I have 10 years of valuable carpentry experience. I spent my first 5 years working for a Post-Frame company in Washington state ranging from concrete work, framing, siding, windows, and finish work. Starting from the bottom working my way up to a foreman position managing jobs. After the Post-Frame chapter I was fortunate enough to join the Carpenters Union Local 70 based in the Seattle area. \nAs a Journeyman carpenter, this is where I started to specialize in finish work ranging anywhere from casework, millwork, doors and frames etc. Top notch work was a must in the Union. \nI started Sage Timber Construction with pride and customer service in mind. It’s our job to make sure your vision is brought to life. Never satisfied until it is! \nSage Timber looks forward to working with you!

Hello!\nI'm Bryan and I'm a homeowner myself. In my 24 years of homeownership, I have learned a lot of skills to fix, build and repair around the house. I'm happy to help. \nI am a man of character though, and prefer not to be alone with a woman as to avoid anything that could look bad or be misunderstood. I appreciate your respect on this and hope to be able to help you with your project!

Carpentry questions, answered by experts

While some highly experienced homeowners can frame a house independently, it is not advisable. You will need ample carpentry experience, a team of helpers, and professionals to sign off on your work to meet local building codes. For the safest outcome, we recommend buying or building a house with the guidance of professionals.

A few signs that you need a new door frame include:

  • The door no longer fits properly in its frame and sticks or scrapes.

  • You notice cracks, holes, or rotting.

  • You feel a draft coming from around the door when it’s closed.

  • You find yourself frequently needing to make repairs.

Yes, a one-story house can have a load-bearing wall. The load-bearing walls in a single-story home are usually the exterior walls. If the house has a basement with exposed walls, the arrangement of the beams can help indicate what walls are load-bearing.

By careful planning and reinforcement to maintain structural integrity.

Yes, you can hang picture frames, shelves, and other items on Trusscore panels. For lightweight items (less than 30 pounds), the company recommends using adhesive strips rather than nails or screws. However, you’ll need to secure heavier objects to a stud in the wall. In these situations, Trusscore recommends cutting away the panel material and fastening the object to the stud with metal hardware.
