208 Moving LLC is a locally owned and operated moving company right here in the Treasure Valley. While many local Boise moving companies in the valley are large corporations or franchises based out of other states, 208 Moving Company provides services based on the needs of our customers right here in Idaho. Our goal at 208 Moving is to provide the best moving experience to our customers at the most affordable rates. We have 8 years of moving experience for both local and long distance moves in the State of Idaho.

"Happy with the coordination of the move date and hours available to help us with our move but price per hour was a quite excessive but we had no other choice since they were they only moving company available at that time with our dates being set. We had 3 guys, two which hustled and did a great job while the 3rd one was seen numerous times standing around not doing much at all. After our move we had also noticed a damaged wine cellar valued at $3,000 with a shattered front glass. This was brought to their attention shortly after their said "7 day" guarantee to file a claim of any damaged items and they stated they talked with their guys that were the helpers and they admitted no fault, so the company said they would not cover the glass to be replaced. This is not the kind of service I would wish upon anyone paying that pretty penny price tag and to have something of value damaged and for a company to not owe up to it and to look for any escape route but then again it only hurts their reputation like this review that I am leaving will! Look elsewhere! WE WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY OR ANY RENAMED COMPANY OF THEIRS AGAIN NOR REFER TO ANY FAMILY OR FRIENDS!!!!!!"

Hauling questions, answered by experts

When considering how to dispose of other appliances, a landfill is also usually not an option. The biggest difference is that electrical appliances like refrigerators, washing machines, or dishwashers aren’t as easy to transport as a portable microwave. Some local councils offer bulky uplift services (although a fee may apply), scrap metal recyclers might pick yours up, trade-in options on big items are more common, and some utility companies offer incentivized recycling programs.

How to dispose of excess sealant depends on the type of sealant you need to get rid of. You can simply allow latex or water-based sealants to dry out before including them in your normal household waste. Sealants that contain oils or polyurethanes require disposal at a hazardous waste disposal site or recycling facility.

Yes, most services include basic cleanup after debris removal. Confirm with your provider.

If composting feels too complicated, mulching is an effective alternative. While composting focuses on breaking down yard waste to feed the soil, mulching uses that same organic material as a protective top layer. It's a quick way to get value from leaves, grass clippings, and other yard debris without the time or effort composting requires.

While a biohazard cleanup sounds like a scary process, knowing what to expect can help ease your concerns and set you up for success. It’s good to note that more than one professional might be needed depending on your situation, but that will be determined during the assessment. What you can expect during a home biohazard cleanup is the following:

  • Assessment: The first step in this process is for a biohazard cleanup professional to assess the damage. They create a report that includes the biohazard safety level, the needed damage cleanup, and the time it should take to complete the project.

  • Setup: The cleanup professional prepares the site to prevent cross-contamination and reduce toxicity risk. This process can include tarping and creating decontamination zones.

  • Removal of surface contamination: Any contaminated materials are removed from the area, starting with large materials followed by small ones. The professional can assess any floor-related damage once everything is removed from the site.

  • Salvaging items: The biohazard cleanup professionals assess which items can be saved and which are contaminated beyond the point of saving. Those deemed unsafe will be disposed of immediately.

  • Waste disposal: The next step is carefully disposing of the hazardous waste. Your professional will place the contaminated items in specific containers to keep the contamination from spreading.

  • Disinfection: The house will be disinfected and odor-neutralized. Even more minor details, like light switches and bulbs, will be disinfected so that they do not recontaminate the area in the future.

  • Restoration: Once the decontamination is complete, the last step is to restore the home. This includes repairing the damage to flooring, walls, or even the home's foundation.
