"We have stone block patio steps that had begun to settle unevenly given incorrect installation by the previous owner of the home, which included installing the steps directly on top of the bottom siding board of our home.  As a result of this, water/snow got behind the steps and damaged our bottom piece of siding as well.  I called Buresh (among others) to arrange an estimate and Jason was out there in about two days to meet with me and discuss the issue.  About a week later I received the estimate from Brian, which came in at the lower end in terms of cost compared to other estimates I received.  I spoke with Brian a couple times during the process including a couple emails back and forth and he was able to get a two-man crew out about a week after I agreed to have Buresh Home Solutions do the repairs.  The two guys that did the work were great, very professional and did an outstanding job with the repairs.  This involved removing nearly around 60-70 90lb stone blocks including the sand/gravel under each layer of steps and resetting everything evenly with the proper materials underneath the steps.  In addition, they replaced the damaged siding with a PVC board to avoid similar damage in the future.  Overall, the process took about 3 weeks from start (calling for an estimate) to finish (having the work completed, which took about 2 full days).  One of the advantages for me with having Buresh do the work is that they were able to do both the steps and siding repair.  Other companies I called would only have been able to reset the steps, but I would have had to call another contractor out to repair the siding piece.  Given that we would have had to tear out the steps first to get at the siding, this would have been inconvenient in terms of coordinating the scheduling between the two companies.  Instead, Buresh was able to do it all and do it well.
Brian and his team were great to work with...very professional, on time, great communication, cleaned up everything after they were done, and great price.  I would not hesitate to call them in the future if I need any other exterior repairs completed."

The Villa Awning has a full cassette protecting the fabric when retracted. It is available in smaller mounting widths, and due to a different type of support in the awning frame, it does not require as much frame support.

"The contracted the work off to a third party. Jon took longer than expected. The windows was installed pretty good from the looks. Communication could have been better with knowing the job will take longer and what types of trims I wanted for the windows. As the contractor that was hired for this job by this company. Did a good job with putting up decent trim. As for the new windows they look great. I purchased the myself and hired sentri homes to install them. I will need to have a my siding on my house redone to be closer to the new windows so the gaps are not so obvious. That was not expected at first. But from old storm windows and not knowing how they were put in originally. There was some unknown things that was learned from the job being completed. I will have the siding of the house slightly done to match really good for what I wanted later on. My only concern is better communication with sentri homes. Overall they were great when I did talk to them."

"From the beginning to the end we had excellent customer service. Jan, office manager, kept us informed every day on the progress of the job. The owner, Tim, was very courteous, informative, and easy to work with. The last day finishing up the skylight the derecho hit and they worked quickly and safely to remove the equipment off the property. I'm sure they remember that day! The crew on the roof were excellent and they were meticulous in the final clean-up stage. We are pleased with our new skylights!"

Siding questions, answered by experts

How long siding takes to install depends on various factors, but averages seven to 14 days for a 1500 to 2000 square foot home. You may have a longer installation timeline if your house is large or architecturally complex, if you have underlying damage beneath the existing siding, or if the weather delays the installation process.

Composite siding is very resistant to warping that can affect some other sidings. Because of its composition, this siding doesn’t have the same risks of moisture damage that can cause rotting, buckling, and warping. Composite material doesn’t warp in high temperatures the way some kinds of vinyl siding can.

That said, composite siding is not entirely immune from moisture damage. It should still be properly installed so that moisture can properly drain from behind the siding, and protected by eaves and clean gutter so the siding doesn’t get repeatedly soaked by rain, which could lead to damage.

Cracked mortar, loose bricks, water damage, and efflorescence (white powdery deposits) are common problems.

The best types of siding to withstand hail are fiber cement siding and engineered wood siding. Fiber cement siding is known for impact resistance, while some brands of engineered wood siding can withstand hail as big as 1 and 3/4 inches with no marks. Vinyl and aluminum siding are the most susceptible to hail.

Although horizontal siding is found on more homes and deemed more popular, vertical siding is gaining popularity and becoming more trendy. Its ability to make homes appear taller and modern design is making it a favorite among homeowners. Plus, the vast style options available make it suitable for various architecture types.
