I sent Antonio a message and told him where I lived and asked him if he worked in the county that I live in because it was not in the counties that he has posted. I sent him pictures of the steps and he came out while I was at work and sent me the estimate on email. I called Antonio and told him that I had to wait a couple of weeks to start this project because of my work schedule. We set the date for 11/07/2013 and he and his employees showed up on time and went right to work tearing out the old steps. Antonio told me why they had sunk down 4 inches and told me that he was going to fix them so they would not do that again. Antonio and his men were very professional and also answered all my questions. When the job was finished they cleaned up so good that you couldn't even tell they were here except for the great looking steps. I would use Antonio and his men again. He said that they would drive the crane down the center of my driveway to keep the tires away from the edge, and reduce any cracking. He said that they would place no fewer than eight sheets of plywood under the out riggers. The owner of Mc Gough assured us that all precautions would be used to protect our driveway. in the morning, the trailer arrived with the plywood, and as they were backing up my driveway, the tongue of the trailer was scraping the approach of the driveway, and the guy that was guiding the trailer yells "don't worry about it, it's the old concrete, just floor it" and the driver just rammed the trailer up my driveway leaving deep scrape marks in the approach. There was no grass in my front yard at the time because we were installing sod in a few days, so the out riggers were suppose to go there. When the crane got there, they tried several times to back it up my driveway, and had to use plywood to make the approach less steep. when the crane finally did get up my driveway, it was way off to the side, and they were not putting down ANY plywood under the cranes tires. I and the tree guy yelled at them to stop, but they just rolled right up the side of my driveway. One of the cranes tires was off in the dirt, and the other crushed my new driveway all the way up the side like an old cracker. I went to the tree guy that hired them and told him what just happened. He went to talk to the crane operator and was told to mind his own business, that they knew what they were doing. when they put the cranes out riggers out, instead of landing in the grass, they ended up on my sidewalk to the house, and instead of using eight sheets of plywood as they said they would the most that they used was six sheets, and one of the out riggers only had four sheets. when they put the weight on the out riggers my sidewalk was crushed and folded up in the air. I told the owner of Mc Gough that we need to talk about my driveway and side walk when they were done. instead he got in his truck and left before the were done. I called the other owner that next day, and told him what had happened, and he said that he would go out and take a look at my driveway. He called me later that day and claimed that they had not caused that damage, and said that the crane was not off to the side that far. I told him that I have home surveillance cameras, and I could show him how that crane was driven up my driveway. he said that I was a liar, and that they would not even consider helping to pay for any of the repairs. The driveway and sidewalk are still not fixed. "},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ia/fort-dodge/mcgough-construction-co-reviews-7958140.htm"},"position":10}]}

FAQs for concrete finishing projects in Fort Dodge, IA
Concrete repair costs range anywhere from about $0.10 to $0.15 per linear foot to fill minor cracks, to about $6 to $14 per square foot to replace damaged concrete slabs. Repair costs vary widely depending on the size and type of work needed. For example, replacing 100 square feet of driveway will cost between $600 to $1,400, on average.
The average cost of stamped concrete is around $12 per square foot, but you might pay anywhere from $8 to $28 per square foot. The average 12-foot by 12-foot patio costs $1,730 on average. Your exact pricing will depend on the patio’s square footage, the condition of the area where you want to pour the concrete, the desired stamp pattern, concrete coloring, concrete grade, and local labor prices. Don’t forget to budget for extra costs like land preparation and additional concrete fortifications if necessary.
Depending on the cost to repair your driveway, it may be more cost effective to tear out and replace it with a new concrete driveway. The cost to repave a driveway ranges between $1,400 and $12,100, including removal of the old concrete. Contact a reputable concrete contractor for advice and an estimate. They may have a good reason for going with repairs or replacement after assessing your driveway. You may also have the option to resurface your driveway or pave over it without taking out the existing one.
It’s possible to create stamped concrete yourself, but we don’t recommend it and it’s often not cost-effective. It’s easy to mess up the pattern of a stamped concrete patio or walkway, leaving you with an unsightly home exterior rather than the elegant solution you wanted. Any mistakes made during the ground leveling and concrete pouring process will also increase the risk of cracks forming on your concrete. Additionally, buying enough stamps to get the pattern in before your concrete cures can cost as much as hiring a professional to do the work for you.
Concrete contractors typically charge anywhere from $6 to $14 per square foot. Cost factors include job size, site prep, base material, accessibility, your location, concrete finish, and concrete thickness. Removal of existing concrete, asphalt, deck, pavers, and grass will cost anywhere from $1 to $6 per square foot. Homeowners can often save money by removing and disposing of existing pavers, decks, and grass. Breaking up and hauling away concrete and asphalt is difficult and time-consuming without the proper equipment and may be worth having the pros do that work.
