I've been interior and exterior painter for the last 4 years, I work great with other people and even better on my own. I've only lived in Fort Dodge for under a year and I've painted several places including village inn, The Lutheran Church in Humboldt, a few exterior paint jobs and a number of interiors. I guarantee quality in all of my work.

"Jason and his crew were professional and friendly. The prep work prior to painting was detail-oriented and the paint job itself was exceptional. I’m very pleased and would highly recommend."

We offer Roofing, Siding, Gutters, Interior & Exterior Painting, or any other home projects you need done. We are family owned and operated and have been in the roofing industry for 10 years. We specialize in insurance claims. Give us a call today for your free estimate!

"Absolutely horrendous. First meeting with contractor he was late. Assessed job, emailed quote. I immediately knew it was to low so the worker assessed job, talked with owner and new quote recieved for what I thought was needed. Owner even came to take pics. So 3 visits in person to discuss job. The first day they showed up the workers said they couldn't do it for the amount they were getting paid. Not my problem. In the end, the contractor has made excuses and promises, texts and emails saved if anyone interested, only to try and blame my wife for sending away crew, tried to state that the truss must have broken 2 days before the contractor came out changing the job, excuses galore. Additionally he stated that he was not able to come to the site to talk to his crew because he was in meetings all day, however he forgot that he had told me during his first meeting that he had to set up a booth for his wife somewhere for a show this very same weekend. Just prior to this I had also contracted a major driveway renovation and electric upgrade. Both very extensive projects and interactions with many contractors. In the end I requested a refund, get lots of excuses however the rest will not be paid and I am going to file a small claims case. In light of some information garnered in this process I will probably refrain form utilizing these sites for hone repairs."

Interior Painting questions, answered by experts

You can wallpaper and paint over certain types of wallpaper, but it’s usually a better idea to remove it first. Removing the wallpaper and prepping the wall before painting is a good way to guarantee a smooth finish that looks professional. If you ever have a moisture or water issue after painting over wallpaper, the paper will bubble and damage your wall. Additionally, you should never paint over wallpaper already peeling or otherwise damaged, as this will leave obvious imperfections in your wall and could lead to additional problems.

Many services include repainting to match the existing surface. Confirm with your provider.

The best sheen depends on your needs. Satin and eggshell sheens are often recommended for siding since their lightly reflective finish can help hide imperfections while being relatively easy to clean. Semi-gloss sheen is a great fit for trim since it’s incredibly easy to clean and more durable and moisture-resistant than satin and eggshell, but if you use it for the entire surface, its more reflective properties can highlight imperfections. This is also why high-glass sheen isn’t a great fit for the entire surface.

Typically, professionals recommend two coats of paint for even coverage. However, you may be able to get away with one coat if you’re painting over a light color with a darker or similar-shade color. But if you’re going from a darker to a lighter color, like white to black, you may need up to three coats.

If you’re going from a darker to a lighter color, like white to black, you may need up to three coats. Buying high-quality paint and using primer on the walls beforehand can save you the extra labor and cost that comes with adding more coats of paint.

You can sometimes add water to your spray gun, depending on the design of your sprayer and the type of paint, paint finish, or sealant. In many cases, mixing in around 10% percent of water to the paint makes for an easier application process and further evens out the mist. Read the instructions to make sure this is an appropriate step.
