"I got fined because a Rock Wall contractor messed me up by telling me a permit was not needed so I had to pay a big fine. A friend recommended Aaron Shimizu Architecture company who was quite knowledgeable. Aaron was quite easy to talk to and made me relax by explaining the process he was quite knowledgeable He explained the steps and started the process for the new permit very quickly and as we progressed his staff kept me in the loop. I became very relaxed because of his experience. I got my legal permit after the process was finished. If I have any problems again I will definitely call Aaron he is a smart man."

"We liked our interior design plan that we received , but it just took a long time to get the final plan.  She had told us in the beginning that she had gotten a big response to that deal.

"RE: PROPERTY MANAGEMENT Terrific!
First, let me state that I called and/or e-mailed several property management firms and asked if they did this kind of single family home, temporary kind of service and if not, to at least let me know they got the message. Most never responded. Russell Larsen of Universal called and we discussed what we needed. This short term request was not precisely the core of his property management business but he was very willing to help us out, which we greatly appreciated.
I appreciate that he communicated, was willing to consider the possibility which helped us make this transition. Because he is a contractor we also asked him of his knowledge of other business for various services we would be needing.
He is willing to consider this kind of property management along with the more traditional property management that he does.
Terrific person, excellent communication.

Lighting questions, answered by experts

The five common types of landscape lighting are up-lighting, down-lighting, spotlights, built-in lighting, and pathway lighting.

  • Up-lighting casts light upwards from the ground, mostly for aesthetic purposes.

  • Down-lighting directs light onto the ground, lighting pathways, or outdoor space.

  • Spotlights cast direct, focused lighting in any direction.

  • Built-in lighting integrates lighting into an outdoor feature.

  • Pathway lighting illuminates walkways, increasing safety.

While most general electricians can repair lamps and light fixtures, it is often better to hire a lamp repair specialist. Many electricians prefer larger jobs, such as fixing electrical systems or relocating fixtures, and may not offer lamp repair services due to the small scale of the work. Additionally, some lamps, particularly antique models, require dedicated expertise that a general electrician might not have. A lamp repair specialist will be familiar with various types of fixtures and can provide a more dedicated service. If you have already hired an electrician for a larger project, you can ask them to look at your lamp, but for a standalone repair, a specialist is typically the best option.

If you need to visually inspect your Christmas lights to determine which are good and which need replacement, there are a few things to look for. First, look for discoloration, such as a dark spot or two on the inside of the glass. The spot is an indication of a burnt filament. Also, look for missing filaments, cracked bulb glass, and broken sockets.

Your maintenance needs revolve around the type of foundation you choose, as well as how you furnish or decorate it. Patios require little else other than the occasional hose-down, but decks and other wooden structures will require annual power washing and sealing. You may also need to restain the wood every two to three years.

Adding a solid roof rather than building a pergola or leaving the space open will make maintenance much easier. Without a roof, you will need to spend more time sweeping, washing, and covering your furniture to protect it from UV bleaching.

Cold weather can cause older incandescent Christmas lights to fail by causing cracks in the finish or the glass itself. Modern LED lights are affected in the opposite way and perform even better as the temperature drops.
