Painting of Homes (interior & exterior) as well as Roofs. We also do Commercial Buildings. Power washing is included in Paint work. We have been in Business for 17 years now. We do Excellent neat work and we are very meticulous. We treat it as if it is our Home or Business and we like all of our work done Neat, Beautiful and in a timely manner. We have done work for alot of great Doctors in Hilo, their homes as well as their office buildings. We were told that we were hired because of our Trust Worthiness and Neat Work that was performed. We Love working closely with people as well as making their Homes or Businesses Beautiful.

"Joey is very professional, meticulous and pays attention to every detail. Our job was made much more complex as we stripped the cedar on the house structure to bare wood prior to painting/staining. As problems came up, Joey and I were quickly able to resolve them with no loss of time nor extension to the due date. The project completed on time and we are very pleased with the results. A special shout out to Joey’s wife Cindy who was incredibly supportive (and is an excellent cook). Joey and Cindy made us feel as though we were family. If you’re painting over paint that’s in good condition and is a similar color and finish to the new paint, you probably don’t need to use primer. In most cases, paint primer is necessary before painting over wood paneling. A hardy primer formula covers up stains and leaves a grippy surface for the new paint to hold onto. If you don’t use a primer first, you risk poor adhesion, visible blemishes, and a paint top coat that could flake away later. 

There are two primer choices: oil-based or latex-based. Choose an oil-based primer for durability and adhesion, but prepare for extra dry time and more VOC (volatile organic compounds) fumes. Or, pick a stain-blocking latex primer. They’re easy to apply, clean up, and affordable.

While you can use wall paint on the ceiling, there are some differences between ceiling and wall paint. Ceiling paint tends to be thicker, cover discoloration better, and comes in a more limited color selection. Wall paint is thinner, holds up to regular cleaning better, and is available in an almost endless variety of colors.

Waterproof paint creates a barrier to hold back moisture, but it doesn’t eliminate the source of the water. If you hire a basement waterproofing contractor, many will tell you that waterproof paint is only a temporary solution. On average, you can expect it to last from six months to two years in a wet basement before deteriorating.
