"I had several jobs I needed to get done on my house before listing it for sale. No better place to find the right person than Angie’s. I checked out the recommended list and left messages with a few. The first to respond the same day was Brandon from SHS. He informed me that he reviewed the jobs I needed done and said he could do them no problem and could come by in the morning to go over them with me. Brandon was here the next morning right on time. Brandon started that week and knocked it out and the only thing that was slow during the project Brandon was me being indecisive on materials. Brandon did a excellent job on everything! Brandon is professional and dependable and you will be quite pleased with the quality of his work. I definitely will be using him again for other home projects and I would highly recommend him for any home projects you need done."

"B.J. arrived at appointment time with his tool box in hand. He was polite, went right to work and finished the job in a timely manner leaving the job area clean after finishing a messy plumbing job. I will use him again and recommend him for plumbing work."

Grill Assembly questions, answered by experts

DIY is not recommended due to safety concerns. Professional installation ensures proper connections and compliance with codes.

You can maneuver your gas grill into place, but you cannot connect the grill to your gas source yourself. All municipalities mandate that a certified plumber carry out this work, so you’ll have to reach out to a plumber or a gas grill installation company in your area. Given how dangerous a gas leak can be, gas lines and connections are highly regulated, so you’ll need a professional’s help and a permit to install a gas grill.

No. Placing a built-in grill against the house is discouraged due to safety concerns. Building codes and regulations often require a minimum distance (typically 10 feet or more) between a gas grill and any combustible structure, including a house. Placing a grill too close poses a fire hazard and risks damage to the siding or structure, potentially leading to carbon monoxide buildup. It's essential to consult local building codes, follow manufacturer guidelines, and prioritize safety by positioning the grill at a safe distance, ideally in a well-ventilated outdoor kitchen or designated grill area.

Local codes often mandate specific fittings, permits, and vent considerations for permitted function and safety, which are enforced by professionals.

All U.S. states require permits for gas grill installation, so you’ll have to get one before you move forward with your project. Permits help ensure that the gas line runs safely to avoid gas leaks and explosions. Gas line permits can usually also only be pulled by certified plumbers, which means you’ll have to hire a professional from the start. The permit for a gas line installation for a gas grill usually costs between $100 and $300. You can contact your installation company or building department for more accurate pricing.
