We offer several services and if you are wondering if J&J would do a job you are thinking of hiring for, don't hesitate to call and ask because there's not many jobs we will turn down. We work hard and quick while doing great work also. Currently there are only two employees( my cousin David and I ). "I contacted Brandon about repairing a roof on my rental property. The roof was old and had areas of tree damage. He was very eager to get started to begin with and things seemed to go smoothly. We discussed replacing the roof and any damaged and rotted areas from the fallen tree. We ended up paying a larger quote than what was originally quoted, but was explained by Brandon as needed expenses. A few months after the completion, my renters called and said the soffit was hanging down from the front corner exposing a hole. After contacting Brandon, he said it wasn’t in the contract (even though it was discussed) but would come look at it and get it repaired. It seems to me if you can add on thousands of dollars to repair needed things, that you could call and ask about a rotted area with no place to attach soffit, instead of leaving soffit hanging a hole for animals to potentially get in. After giving me a date and time, it has yet to be repaired. Multiple calls and text and it’s always one excuse or another, or no response at all. Yet he answers if I call from another number. If you want good, honest, quality service call someone else."

Chemical herbicides take the least amount of time—typically between three and four weeks—while homemade methods, like covering an old stump with leaves, could take between seven and eight years. You can use a felling ax to chop down a tree by following the same prep and steps as a chainsaw, but be prepared to use some muscle. For trees bigger than 7 inches in diameter, it can take some time and serious strength to cut down a tree using just an ax. 

In most cases, leaving tree roots underground is not a problem if the stump has been removed or ground below the soil. However, some larger roots may decompose, leaving dents in your soil. Additionally, some aggressive trees, including willows, oaks, elms, maples, and poplars may grow back from roots. Large aggressive trees with established root systems are more likely to grow back.

For a large tree, roots can take 5 to 10 years to completely decay after a stump dies. But that’s rarely a concern for above-ground plants and growth. You can choose to grind up a stump immediately after felling a tree (although it will be tougher wood), or you can wait several months up to a year for the stump to decay. When finished, you can leave any leftover roots in the ground to decompose.
