"My home ceiling had popcorn that had some water damage. He scraped the popcorn off, repaired it, sanded it, painted it and it looks perfect like nothing ever happened there. He was always on time, clean and professional. Would recommend. Definitely would use him again."

"Three Stags Remodeling, Pedro Martinez and brother and friend, did a great job on multiple projects for me. They covered a large deck and covered a large patio at two different locations. Both covers were stained/painted. They also helped with several smaller house repairs. Each job was done well, all finished on schedule at a reasonable price. Pedro communicates well with customers. Thank you."

"During hurricane Helene, my roof was damaged which resulted in leaks into the interior of my house I had several dark stained areas on my ceiling that needed repair and painting. Mr. Holland completed this service for me. His prices were reasonable, considering there was price gouging occurring during this time. His work was excellent. There was no evidence that any damage had ever occurred. In addition the work was completed in a timely manner."

"The work provided by Rick Wood’s Concrete was stellar from the bidding process to the completion of the project. The bid was provided within the time specified and was very competitive. Work began when scheduled —- both in terms of date and daily time. Individuals stayed on task while taking appropriate precautions to prevent heat related problems. Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

If you want to achieve a deeper, darker stain color, wait 5 to 10 minutes before wiping it off. However, wipe it off faster for a lighter tone. When wiping off the stain during this part of the process, be sure to work in the direction of the wood’s grain for best results.

Always wait until the morning dew has dried before you stain your deck. The stain needs a fully dry surface to sink into.

Essential tools include brushes or rollers, drop cloths, sandpaper or power sanders, and appropriate cleaning supplies. Quality materials ensure long-lasting results.

Limewash and whitewash are two techniques used to give brick a light, matte finish, but they differ in composition, application, and permanence. The best choice depends on your aesthetic goals and the specific surface.

Composition

  • Limewash: A natural and environmentally friendly option made from limestone, water, and sometimes pigments. It is breathable and soaks into porous surfaces like brick.

  • Whitewash: Traditionally made from lime, water, chalk, and binders, but a similar look can be achieved with watered-down white paint. It is paint-based and sits on top of the surface.

Appearance and Finish

  • Limewash: Provides a natural, textured appearance that allows the brick's character to show through. It offers a more traditional finish.

  • Whitewash: Creates a softer, more opaque finish, often used for a rustic or shabby-chic style.

Application and Permanence

  • Limewash: Is semi-permanent and can be removed, making it a good choice if you might want to change the look in the future. It requires more skill to apply and cannot be used on previously painted brick.

  • Whitewash: Is a more permanent solution. It is more forgiving to apply and can be used on painted brick. However, because it sits on the surface, it can trap moisture.

Ultimately, if you want a breathable, natural, and reversible finish for unpainted brick, limewash is a great option. If you need a more permanent, opaque coating that can be applied over painted surfaces, whitewash is the better choice. Whitewashing may also be more economical, costing approximately $1.40 to $4.20 per square foot.

Aftercare includes routine cleaning, checking for water repellency, and promptly addressing any chips or peels, maintaining the deck's appearance and functionality.
