"They did exactly what I asked them to do. They did it at the time we agreed upon and they did it for a reasonable price. I’m not sure that you can ask any contractor for more than that. But we got more. They were courteous, cooperative and gave us good advice as to how to proceed. Really fine company. They are my go to electricians."

"Spencer and Albert came out to the house and encapsulated part of the basement. They were professional and polite. They came in, encapsulated the space, cleaned the area up. I would definitely recommend them"

"Robert snd his associate were great communicators, very pleasant and encouraging AND the work was exceptional. Thank you. April was most gracious with us as we made the initial request and made a change. She was also very friendly. We will employ this organization in the future for our plumbing needs."

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

Custom homes can take an average of 18 months to build, mainly due to the lengthy design process, and most projects take somewhere between 12 and 24 months. When you work with the right custom home builders near you, they can help you map the road ahead and understand what can speed up or delay the timeline. Choosing locally available materials, for example, can speed things up without losing that customized touch.

Regular meetings, reviewing drafts, and providing input on materials help align the project with your vision.

While it’s never too early to start planning for a major home improvement project like a home addition, give yourself at least a month or two to plan and design your addition, find a contractor, and get the permits in order. For larger projects like a second-story addition that require designing with an architect, plan on three to four months of preparation.

Make sure you’re getting the right size to meet your space needs, including enough space both side to side and vertically to accommodate your RV’s features and allow you to safely move it in and out of the garage.

If you’re building an attached and enclosed garage for your RV, you’ll also want to give some thought to whether you’d like to add workspace, water or electricity, or additional storage. If so, you’ll need a garage with larger dimensions.

Depending on what the blueprints are for, a qualified draftsperson, contractor, or architect can draw them up. In some cases, including specialty permitting for a build, you may be required to use a licensed architect.

In many cases, a blueprint drawn up by a certified professional is required before a city or municipality approves a permit.
