"Fidel was hired to rip out and old backsplash and replace it with a new one. He and his crew had to drive an hour each way to get to my house, but he was always there to get the work done. His attention to detail was very good. As always with any project I had to go behind him and clean this or fix that, but very little. His English is passable and tries very hard to communicate. I used Google translate and everything went well. He and his crew were professional and due to the far distance of travel they would arrive sometimes later than expected because of scheduling other work nearer to their area of service. I would classify him as honest, professional, personable and loaded with integrity. He took pride in his work, not just to make money, but to do it deserving of recommendation. You can also see if the tile you have has pieces that have been glazed or rounded on one edge. You’d then cut the tile and place it normally, with the cut edge facing inward. 

For best results, you should remove the toilet in a bathroom before removing tile or installing new tile. If you don’t remove the toilet, it will be harder to fully waterproof the tile around the toilet, which could increase the risk of mold growth or plumbing leaks. If you have trouble removing the toilet, hire a plumber to help.

The time it takes to retile a bathroom includes the installation time for the grout and tile, prep work, and waiting time. The waiting time allows the mortar, grout, and caulk to cure correctly.
