Keep Smiling Plumbing Electric Heating and Cooling is a family-owned, family-operated, full-service plumbing electric and HVAC business, serving Gwinnett County, Georgia. We are Master Plumbers and members of the Plumbing & Mechanical Association of Georgia. Keep Smiling Plumbing & Electric is there when you need us, ready to take care of any problem that you may have with your plumbing or electrical systems. We also have available a full line of quality replacement products if you want to upgrade or update.

"They told us "Our dispatch fee to come out is $39 and we waive that towards any work or repairs, including diagnostics." The electrician went to check and stayed at the property for less than 5 mins after confirmation to do full diagnostic of the electrical system. I don't think less than 5 mins is enough to run a full diagnostic and later on advise to upgrade the whole panel."

Family owned since 1989, Bardi is rated A+ by the Better Business Bureau, was awarded Business of the Year in 2013 by the Gwinnett Chamber and received Best Customer Service by the BBB. Bardi is heavily involved with the community and offers free electronics pick-up and recycling during service calls to benefit Nobis Works, a nonprofit that supports people with disabilities seeking to join the workforce.

"I requested a HVAC tech come out to my home as my AC was not working properly. The tech recommended that I get a new AC. He told me he would have his sales rep come out to talk to me about the options I would have as far as replacing it. Their sales rep showed up. His name is Jimmy, and he told me all these great things about Bardi and their products. We came to an agreement of my buying a cheap HVAC system as I was trying to save money. It would cost me 12,000 dollars for the system. The next day April 5th, 2025 their install tech came out and installed the equipment. I was at work at the time, but I had a family member there. I returned home to find out the lower level of my home was not being cooled, and they had left part of my old HVAC system connected to the new system. It was a burnt up disconnect that should have been replaced and was a major part of what was wrong with my old system. Also they used a panel cover from my old system instead of new. I asked Jimmy to come and pick up the equipment which it states I have three days to reject the equipment in the contract. He expressed that I couldn't reject the equipment after it was installed. They had a tech come out the next day April 6, 2025 to fix the downstairs not working, and he fixed it. The next day it happened to be cold outside so I turned on the heat. No heat was coming out of the vents just cool air and the fan unit was running extremely loud outside. It was so loud it sounded like the fan unit was in my room on the second floor, so I turned it off. When I did turn off the fan unit made a horrible exploding noise. Once again I called Bardi and asked them to come get their HVAC system, they refused. Crystal the customer care rep is who I spoke with. She scheduled another repair tech to come out on April 12th to look at the HVAC system. I waited the entire day and no one showed up. I finally called and the receptionist told me it was their employee appreciation day no one would be coming. Monday I received a call from Crystal their customer care rep stating she text me and told me no one would be coming, but I never received that text. She scheduled another appointment for Easter Sunday. I stayed home Easter Sunday instead of going to church, and no one showed up again. I've stated each and every time I've spoken with someone from Bardi that I don't want to do business with them but they are basically trying to force me to keep their equipment at this point. This is by far the worst customer service experience I've ever had. These people are trying to rip their customers off basically. This should be illegal. I've reach out to get a lawyer to force them to remove their equipment from my home. Stay away from these people at all cost."

"Replaced comparatively new but oddly burned out central vacuum that had very little use .. It was poorly matched to my average size home. He also installed a couple of new hoses & attachments for me. Top notch work but apparently has over 20yrs experience with these systems. Highly recommended !"

"Justin is very professional, knowledgeable and honest! We hired him to clean the ducts. We were having issues with cooling and had several other companies came out and the issue was never resolved with the work that they did. "On Friday, July 26, 2024, Leafus (Leaf) from Trade Route Air was scheduled to arrive at my home for an air duct and dryer vent cleaning appointment. I reached out at 11:15am for an ETA because I had not heard anything from him. He did not answer, but he called me back at 111:19 am and stated that he was getting gas and that he would and be there in about 20 min and He finally arrived at my home at 11:45am. He serviced the air ducts first, before servicing the dryer duct. Upon going upstairs for a wellness check, I immediately noticed that Leaf had not fully pulled the dryer from the wall, which would be expected in order to complete the dryer duct cleaning. I asked him how he was able to reach the wall without pulling the unit out, as I have the largest dryer Samsung makes (DV56H9000EP 9.5 cu ft stainless platinum, which stands at 44 and 7 He demonstrated how he reached the piping on the wall by placing his left hand on the top left corner of the dryer and his right hand on the bottom right hand corner of the dryer and used his and body strength to lift himself and citing I could clean it (the pipe that leads to the roof) without getting behind the dryer He then asked me to follow him outside so that he could show me where the dryer vents out to. Due to the dryer vent casing having an angle on it, I asked him how he was able to ensure that the vent was properly cleaned if there was no up-close visibility into the area. He stated that he was able to secure the blower all the way to the top and felt confident about the work he completed. Upon testing the dryer, we were immediately made aware that the hose was not secured onto the wall as dryer lint blew all over the room. That is also when we noticed the damage to the top of the dryer and once we powered it on, the sound that it made let us know that something was awry. I texted the images to Leaf and sent him a video about the damages. He stated that he wanted to come over with a plunger to see if he could remove the dents. We rebutted this request because he is not a known dryer repair technician and we do not want to incur any further damage. We then asked Leaf to escalate this matter and to get back to us with a viable solution. Someone named Jo called me to offer a refund of the dryer vent cleaning fee of $50. We feel this is an unacceptable resolution because my dryer is not functioning like it did before Leaf used his upper body strength and; to damage the top of the dryer, forcing something within the dryer to be and making a terrible grinding noise."

Central Vacuum Systems questions, answered by experts

Routine service inspections on your central vacuum cleaner help keep your vacuum running at its best while helping to avoid costly repairs. It’s best to schedule service inspections every two to three years for a professional central vacuum service to examine your unit. If you have several pets in your home or have a lot of dirt and dust, it’s best to schedule your inspections every one to two years.

Central vacuums can offer huge time savings and an easier way to keep your home clean and even improve the air quality inside your home. While it is a high upfront cost compared to a freestanding vacuum cleaner, it can offer so much convenience and performance over many years, which may make it worth the investment if you can budget for it.

If your central vacuum has lost suction, you probably have a clog in the system. You can remove a clog yourself using a portable vacuum cleaner or central vacuum maintenance sheets. Stubborn clogs or damage to the system require a specialized technician to repair.

While caulking is handy for quite a bit of jobs, it’s still limited. Any crack or gap larger than 1/4 inch is best left for a more intensive repair job. When you hire house painters, they should run a thorough check to see what they need to repair before they start the job.

Large repairs that caulking typically won’t do well with include cracks or holes larger than a 1/4 inch, rotted wood, or metal surfaces, such as garage doors.

Maintaining your central vacuum cleaner is crucial to extending its lifespan. Ensuring the filter is cleaned or changed often is vital to ensuring clogs don’t impact your motor. In addition, inspecting motor brushes regularly and lubricating the engine when needed helps keep it in tip-top shape. Finally, cleaning the central vacuum hose of dirt and debris helps keep clogs at bay, especially if you’ve vacuumed something wet or sticky.

By submitting this question, I acknowledge and agree that Angi may publicly display my name, city, state, and question on the website for professionals and others to see.
