"Service provider stated that she will charge $800 for her labor and be able to complete the work agreed to from 3/14/24 to 3/15/24 but was unable to complete the job. The job included soundproofing the open basement ceiling areas, finishing/ enclosing the ceiling with drywall and molding and installing panel doors in laundry area in basement as well as put plywood/ drywall to enclose open space next to the basement laundry area. She worked on the ceiling part on 3/14, 3/15 and 3/18 instead. She send a message at 9:32pm on 3/18 saying “I can’t do any more”. She then got upset when we questioned the botched workmanship in the ceiling which was incomplete and left in a haste without discussing anything else with us. She did not say anything about paying her, fixing the damaged HVAC hose, cleaning the areas she worked in or if she will come back to complete the job verbally. Instead she threatened to put a lien on our home. She damaged part of the HVAC airflow as well as totally left the floors full of debris. As well as left the adjourning bedroom unclean and full of left over building supplies. The job was not completed and it looks totally botched. We would like to have the HVAC hose that she damaged repaired or replaced as it may be disrupting airflow and in turn possible raise our heat bill in the meantime. We would like to be partially charged or not charged at all for this job as it has not only totally inconvenienced us, it was botched and also incomplete. This job will need to be totally redone and I paid for building supplies which was in access to $1000 which I would like to be reimbursed for. We would also like to have the area that is now filthy and scattered with debris and the building supplies used cleaned."

A sinking foundation can be lifted, most often by installing piers to re-level and support the weight of the house. Depending on the cause and extent of the sinking, other methods to lift a foundation include underpinning and mudjacking. The polyurethane used for polyjacking will expand and cure in 15 to 30 minutes. After that point, your slab will be safe to walk on and even drive on in the case of a sidewalk or concrete driveway. Pros often use mudjacking or polyurethane foam injection to level a sunken concrete patio. Both methods lift the slab by filling voids beneath it. After properly compacting the soil beneath it to prevent future settling, the concrete may need to be removed and re-poured for severe sinking.

Mudjacking normally takes between one to three days to dry completely. The larger the project area, the more time it will take to dry. You should not walk on the concrete or place furniture or vehicles on the lifted concrete until it’s completely cured, which a pro can help determine. If you’re polyjacking instead, the polyurethane foam can take just a few minutes to dry, but wait an hour to be sure.

Mudjacking can take 24 to 72 hours to cure enough to resume normal use.
