"Very Professional - This was a time critical job since I desired to put house on market in immediate future. Mr. Jefferys was professional during & timely in providing job inspection and quote. Demolition of existing concrete driveway & sidewalk was efficiently & effectively executed as agreed on the morning of day one and base installed and compacted in the afternoon. The following morning asphault was placed and compacted to specifications. In addition he dressed the edges of both the drive & sidewalk with fresh topsoil. Mr. Jefferys and his employees had all heavy equipment necessary of the complete project efficiently & professionally. He maintained a clean workplace throughout the project and provided a one year warranty on materials & workmanship. You may not need a hammer drill if you’re planning on drilling one or two very small diameter holes in brick. For holes with a diameter of 3/16-inch or less, a regular drill with a masonry bit can do the job. However, the bit will heat up quickly, and the process will take significantly longer than with a hammer drill. Prepare to cool your drill bit down in a bucket of water more often.

There are many things to look for when buying a brick house. Here are some of the key things you should pay close attention to.

Unfortunately, there are many disadvantages to stone houses. They are slow to build and the materials are pricey, both of which balloon the total cost. Stone walls require a more robust foundation, which costs more to install. Brick can increase the value of your home depending on the type of masonry materials used. Homes generally have a higher resale value when they have brick siding, and brick is also easier to maintain (and lasts longer) than other types of siding, which can motivate buyers to make an offer.

Just keep in mind, however, that although brick can up the asking price when you sell your house, the cost to brick a house is also more expensive than other typical siding costs—so you’ll invest more in the project.

Painted exterior brick does not usually need sealing. Brick is a porous material, so you don’t want to apply a sealant that could trap moisture inside the bricks and cause erosion and structural damage. The risk of moisture-induced damage after sealing is higher in colder climates where trapped moisture can expand if it freezes. On the other hand, it makes sense to seal really old brick or kitchen backsplashes, where moisture from cooking can weaken the brick.
