I have an extensive background in lighting repair and knowledge on residential electrical devices, including receptacles, switches, and device changes. I also have experience with retrofit LED conversions from traditional lighting. I can also do custom work with old fixtures that may have been broken for years and can also turn something that is not a light fixture into a light fixture if desired.

"Amazing!!!! She has wonderful ideas and art work (which I purchased).. she opened my eyes to a new way of designing and decoratings. I saw her professionalism in her attitude and work. With Corie B actions and words spoke volumes. The way she color coordinates and put accent colors in was mind blowing to me. I can't wait for her to come and do my other 2 bedrooms and bath.. My only regret is that I didn't have but one living room and one dining room for her ro design..my master bedroom & barhroom look like it came from HGTV magazine..When she was done I thoughtshe was from their team..GREAT WORK Corie B ...10??????????from me"

Holiday Decorating questions, answered by experts

If you need help with your holiday decorating, the first step is determining your lighting and decor needs to narrow down your pro options. For example, if you want a custom outdoor light display with all of the bells and whistles, you’ll likely need to hire a local holiday light installer who specializes in that service. But if you only need to hang some lights inside in hard-to-reach places, consider hiring a handyperson or an interior decorator instead. It’s best to contact at least three different companies for quotes and to find out what services they offer.

Yes, if your roof is in stable condition, you should be able to hang Christmas lights from the eaves. Hang Christmas light directly from the eaves for best results, using light clips or an alternative type of adhesive. When installing lights on your eaves, be sure to work carefully and avoid adding too much weight or pressure to them.

Nails are a popular choice for hanging string lights, but they are not the only option. Use outdoor hooks, zip ties, or even awning hangers to string up lights outdoors. For indoor lights, use simple tacks, zip ties, damage-free adhesive hooks, or drawing pins. When all else fails, just wrap the lights around some furniture or outdoor fixtures.

An affordable Christmas light bulb testing and replacement tool can make the job easier. But you can most likely make all necessary repairs yourself using common toolbox items if you’d rather avoid purchasing another gadget.

It’s not a good idea to mix LED and incandescent Christmas lights if you can avoid it. LEDs and incandescents can have significantly different electrical current needs. This difference can lead to a higher risk of problems and failure for both light strands. When possible, switch all your lights over to one kind or the other for the best results. Do not connect the different types of light strings to each other, and avoid linking them to the same circuit.
