"Great work! We needed someone last minute for a mow and weed wack/edging and happy we connected with JR. JR was quick to respond to messages, easy to communicate with, and easy ways to pay. The yard looks great and we plan to use them in the future."

Small jobs welcome

"They did an amazing job. Showed up about half an hour late, but luckily in time for me to talk to them before I left. The work was almost exactly what I wanted, but I understand some of the work was a challenge since I needed grass *under* pavers removed, without removing the pavers. I am hopeful that the weeds they pulled are actually gone and won't regrow, but we shall see."

I take pride in offering honest, quality and reliable work.\nI was raised by a master plumber and started working in the trades when I was about 5 years old. Now, over 25 years later, I have learned to manage large projects by myself. The instant gratification of working with earth is much more satisfying.\nMowing, Landscape Remodel, Custom Decks & Fences, Ponds/Waterfalls, Seasonal & Storm Cleanup, Tree Trimming/Removal. \n\nIf you would like to support a local, family owned business that offers top quality service, Peace of Mind Property Maintenance is ready to go!

Weed Services questions, answered by experts

Johnsongrass and crabgrass are invasive weeds that can overtake your lawn. Crabgrass is a low-growing grass most often seen in lawns, flower beds, and vegetable gardens. While you may find Johnsongrass growing in your lawn, it will also grow in pastures, crop fields, and the edge of the road. Johnsongrass is much coarser than crabgrass. If left alone, Johnsongrass can grow up to 8 feet tall.

There are organic herbicide options that will kill grass but not flowers, including white vinegar or a dish soap solution. Commercial selective herbicides can also target grass over other plants, but read the instructions carefully to avoid damaging your garden. Herbicides that kill grass but not flowers usually include ingredients like clethodim and sethoxydim. Otherwise, your best bet will be to weed by hand.

The hydroseed mix—known as a slurry—helps grass seed take root in many ways. Water combines with the mulch, allowing the grass seed to stay moist while grounded in the soil. The extra fertilizer then provides the boost the seed needs to flourish. In just a few weeks, you'll be ready to break out the lawnmower again.

Buffalo grass is not a dense grass, so weeds can grow between the buffalo grass plants. However, as long as you don’t overwater your lawn, weeds have a hard time growing. If you do notice weeds, you can use granular herbicides that are safe for buffalo grass in early and late summer.

Yes, dandelions are considered perennial, broadleaf weeds.
