"Freddie and his son oversaw and worked the new driveway, using the best materials, and ensuring the highest quality of work. He also, without the small additional cost, added a pipe line under the driveway so that I could have comcast pass their cable through for easier connections to my house, should I need it in the future. A honest family owned business, and very easy to work with. I highly recommend Brown Landscaping and Paving. I will likely use them again if I need that kind of work."

"Sgt. Stripes Asphalt did a fantastic job. I am in Kentucky and the job was in Georgia. They were very efficient, communicated with me. They did the job on the weekend so there would not be any traffic in and out of Post-Office parking lot. Their customer service and work great. I would definitely recommend them."

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

While some areas may allow for a slope of up to 20%, this is often the maximum slope for driveways, with a few exceptions of up to 25%. Other regions may have a maximum of 12%, 15%, or 18%, so check with your local building department to ensure you’re laying a driveway that is up to code for your location.

Yes, with colored finishes and decorative stamping for a personalized touch.

Professionals restore the surface to a fresh, attractive finish by applying a new, even sealant layer.

Driveways should be sloped with a minimum 2% slope—anything lower will cause precipitation and runoff to collect. A 2% slope is the equivalent of a 2-foot rise over 100 feet. One quick way to check the integrity of your driveway’s slope: no more than four inches of water should collect on the surface longer than 15 minutes after rain.

You should contact your driveway installer before winterizing a newly installed driveway. Winterizing it before the asphalt or concrete has fully cured can damage the driveway. But in many cases, you don't need to winterize a newly installed driveway anyway since it's likely freshly sealed and won't have much damage yet.
