"Brad and Crawl Space Doctor were excellent. They moved our appointment up from the date that it had originally been scheduled due to a potential buyer on the property. Brad sent me pictures of the finished job and even talked to the prospective buyer of the home and answered all his questions. They were professional, responsive, easy to work with, and did a great job. I would surely hire them again!"

"Met with Randy on June 15th to get a quote on trimming the acorn tree back from away from the house. Randy pointed out that the tree would most likely die from those main branches being cut and removed and that those main branches were also rubbing up against a nearby pine tree causing damage to it as well. We also got his opinion on removing a young elm tree that was growing too close the foundation of the house and deck. He also recommended that we remove one of the sweetgum trees at the front of the house that was growing at an odd angle.
We went forward with his proposal and he arrived with his crew promptly on June 22nd. They were all very professional and kept the area cleaned up.
I am very pleased and will definitely be calling him again for future tree work that we will need performed.
I have already recommended him to several of my friends and coworkers.

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

You should inspect and clean your French drain at least once per year to keep it in good working order. Regular maintenance can help identify clogs, buildup, and damage before they become bigger problems, which increases the lifespan of your drain. The frequency with which a drain clogs can depend on factors like the amount of debris, the quality of the installation, and the type of filter used. If your drain accumulates a lot of sediment, it may require more frequent cleaning. It's also a good practice to check the access and exit points after heavy storms. If you notice reduced drainage or any signs of a clog, clean the drain as soon as possible.

Liquid drain cleaners are harsh chemicals that can erode your pipes. To treat a slow drain or for preventative maintenance, pour hot water down the drain to break up gunk and help move it along. Make sure the water isn’t boiling hot (keep it under 140 degrees Fahrenheit) if you have plastic pipes. However, you’ll need to pull the clog out for bigger backups.

Several signs can tip you off to a clogged dishwasher drain. At first, you may notice that it’s taking longer than usual for the dishwasher to drain, or you may hear gurgling sounds during the draining part of the cycle. You might also notice water backing up into your sink or excess food at the bottom of the dishwasher after a load. The most obvious sign, though, is seeing standing water at the bottom of your dishwasher after the cycle has finished.

To keep window wells from filling up with water, you need to stay on top of maintenance. Remove debris as it fills up, and regularly loosen the gravel at the base if it’s become compacted. You can also reslope your yard to make sure water flows away from the window well (and your home’s foundation), and you can even install a window well cover to prevent debris from building up. Installing an actual drainpipe at the base of the well can also prevent window well drainage problems.

You can unclog an AC drain line for free if you already have these household ingredients: water, vinegar, and rags. Alternatively, if you’d rather not deal with the mess, you can hire a pro to clear your drain line. If you go that route, an HVAC service call costs between $100 and $250.
