Best floor cleaners and waxers near Dasher, GA

Q: Can I use a floor grinder to remove paint from concrete?

•

Yes, but with caution. A floor grinder is intended to level and polish concrete, so it is a very powerful tool. To remove paint, the floor grinder should be set to 35 square feet per minute or less to minimize the pressure without the use of pocket weights. You might need to go over the surface two times to get any paint that has sunk into the concrete’s pores.

Q: How much does floor cleaning and polishing cost for businesses?

•

Depending on flooring type and condition, costs range from $0.25 to $2 per square foot.

Q: Does a magic eraser remove candle wax?

•

Yes, a magic eraser can remove candle wax. You can use it to remove all the candle wax from start to finish. Another option is to remove all large clumps with a dull knife and then pull out your magic eraser to finish the job. However, while the results can be impressive, a magic eraser shouldn’t be used on all surfaces since it can potentially damage them. If you try this method, test a small, hidden spot first and proceed cautiously.

Q: Can an old cement floor be polished?

•

Yes, you can polish an old cement floor. However, be aware that the first pass with the concrete grinder may reveal a few surprises and imperfections. You may also have to contend with the consequences of previous floor coverings, such as tile or carpet, which can leave a pattern in the concrete. Old concrete is more likely to produce uneven results if you want to use a dye or other coloring.

Q: What is the best solution for mopping floors?

•

The best solution for mopping floors depends on the type of floor you have, but a good all-around or multi-purpose DIY floor cleaner is 2 cups of warm water, 5 to 10 drops of liquid dish soap, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. This is safe to use on tile, laminate, wood, polished concrete, vinyl, and more, as it’s relatively neutral and lacks caustic and abrasive chemicals that could be harmful to children and pets. You can also use a multi-purpose commercial cleaner, but make sure to follow the directions for safety.

"Mandy cleaned my cabin from top to bottom. She is very quick to respond to phone calls and is very accommodating to fast turnaround cleanings. She is excellent at keeping me apprised of everything going on with my property which I appreciate very much since I live two states away. My mom went into the cabin on a recent visit and said it looked gorgeous and my mother is a clean freak! I am so glad I found her and hope to keep her very busy!
