"The guys were great! I usually do things like this on my own bc I’m so OCD but had no time to complete it. They stuck to their timeline and was in and out before I knew it! Very good workmanship! Definitely using GC Outdoor again in the future!"

It all started with a trip to the Azores of Portugal. RTA's co-founder went there to meet his wife's family… And had his first encounter with an outdoor kitchen. The charm of that kitchen went far beyond providing meals. It served as an inviting gathering space, and offered moments to break bread together. \n \nThe inspiration from that outdoor kitchen was bottled up and shipped back to the US. Unfortunately, there was a lack of accessible options in America in the early 2010's. Someone needed to rethink the conventional approach of construction. Thus began the journey, with a goal of remastering the outdoor kitchen.

An outdoor fireplace can add value to your home, with an estimated return on investment (ROI) of 56%. This luxurious outdoor feature will certainly appeal to buyers when the time comes to sell. The difference between a built-in and regular grill is installation and design. A built-in grill is integrated into an outdoor kitchen or structure, often within a countertop or island. It is a permanent fixture. A regular grill is standalone, portable, or cart-mounted, allowing mobility and versatility in placement. Built-in grills are typically larger with more cooking space, while regular grills come in various sizes. Built-in grills are favored for creating a custom outdoor cooking area, while regular grills provide convenience and flexibility.

Summer kitchens can cost anywhere from $1,000 to $50,000 to build. The average price is on the lower end of that range, however, at $15,500. The typical homeowner is more likely to pay between $6,000 and $25,000 than approach the $50,000 mark. Materials for framework, flooring, and countertops are the most expensive type of expenditure, with appliances coming in second. There are a few additional costs that may not immediately come to mind when planning an outdoor kitchen, some of which include: permits, routine maintenance, pest control, and winterization.

The best height for a pizza oven is one that allows the user to easily see what’s going on inside and comfortably place pies without having to crouch over. In general, that means the opening should be between 36 and 48 inches off the ground. By contrast, the height of the dome is totally up to your preference, because different heights create different results. Shorter domes are better for creating Neapolitan-style pies, whereas taller domes are ideal for NY-style recipes.

You can use normal bricks as cladding for a concrete or clay pizza oven or as a base underneath one. Fire bricks or solid clay bricks are necessary for an outdoor pizza oven’s floor, and you can use clay bricks for the rest of the oven.
