Landscape Matters is a family owned and operated business. We have been serving North Metro Atlanta for 17 years. We advertise in several magazines and are voted Best of Life in the Family Life Publications for Woodstock and Canton. Visit their website for monthly specials. We accept all major credit cards and can work with you on your budget.

"At first I didn't want to spend this much as I'm on a limited income but I believe that Landscape Matters did exactly what needed to be done. You get what you pay for. I have never been so happy! They were more than timely, actually came earlier than I expected. His crew is incredible. Hard workers. Ted (owner) was great at follow up! A very professional company. I had others out here to give me quotes before Landscape Matters and there was never much follow up and I had become totally discourage. Ted restored my faith in the fact that there are still people out there that do a great job and communicate with the customer."

Pavers and Hardscaping questions, answered by experts

Standard paver sizes that measure 2 3/8 inches are appropriate for placing over concrete. However, always make sure you are not making the area too thick for daily use. A large step between your lawn and the patio can be a tripping hazard, and you need to be able to open and close all doors that swing over the top of the installation.

Permeable pavers typically last between 20 and 40 years, depending on the material, installation quality, and how well they’re maintained. Interlocking concrete pavers and stone systems tend to last the longest, especially when built on a properly compacted base. Regular cleaning to prevent joint clogging can significantly extend their lifespan.

There are many options when it comes to driveway materials, including concrete, asphalt, gravel, and pavers. The best type of driveway material depends on your personal preference, location, and budget. Concrete is one of the most durable driveway materials, making it a popular option for homes across the country. However, it does cost more than asphalt upfront. Still, asphalt repair costs can quickly add up, making it a less economical option in the long run.

Pavers last longer than both concrete and asphalt when well cared for. Since you can place individual pavers that suffer damage, you won't need to repave the entire driveway for an average of up to 50 years. However, the best material for you comes down to your local climate and budget.

Pea gravel can be used as a base for a paver patio, but it’s not the preferred choice. Because it is small and round, pea gravel moves much more easily than other base options, like crushed stone, so it won’t keep your pavers in place properly.

If you do opt for pea gravel, compact it well and use an additional binding agent (like stone dust) to keep everything from shifting.
