"Our customers are our number one priority and unfortunately it took us too many times to fix the problems left by our installers. Hoping you are completely satisfied with your new driveway now. Thank you for your business."
"Thanks so much for the great rating. Our customers are our number 1 priority."
We called Rock Solid Pavers with a message about our walkway needs. The next day Rock Solid returned our call and said they would send someone to estimate our job.. On the scheduled day, at the scheduled time (Mark) arrived to take a look at our walkway.
Mark was clean cut, easy to talk to, understanding, and new his job. He measured our job and then asked us what paver color and type we had in mind. We told him we wanted a cobblestone style. Mark mentioned that he had some excess pavers left over from several different jobs and that if we liked any of these pavers it could save us some money.
Marked estimated that if we liked any of the pavers he had in stock the job would be 1500 dollars. We asked Mark to give us a written estimate including tear out old walkway, paver installation, and cleanup.
Later that day Mark sent us an email with the written estimate and also some pictures of the pavers that he had in stock.
Mark also invited us to come out to Rock Solid and take a first had look at the pavers he had available on hand.
Mark also offered us the option to get order any style paver we wanted from his paver source.
We decided to pick one of the pavers Mark had on hand and signed a contract to have Rock Solid install the pavers as soon as we could be scheduled. We were scheduled for the next morning 3/21/16 and at 8:00 am on 3/21/16 Rock Solid showed up to do the job.
Rock solid did and excellent job, they did what was contracted, tore out the old walkway, installed the new paver walkway, cleaned up all the mess and left a near perfect walkway, with straight lines and a great paver pattern.
The crew was great, and a pleasure to have work around my yard.
Mark came by the next morning to inspect the job and ask us if there was anything that we were not please with.
The truth is this is the first job I have had done in Florida that I was completely satisfied with.
Thank You Mark, Thank you Rock Solid Pavers
"It was a pleasure doing business. Appreciate you review."
"Thanks so much for the good rating and most of all your job. We appreciate your input."
"Rock Solid Pavers stands behind all their work & warranties. It is unfortunate that he feels this issue is under warranty. Your pavers were destroyed by the clean & seal company and you expect Rock Solid Pavers to redo the whole lanai area. This job was completed on 4/10/12. We never received any phone calls from [member name removed] until 5/19/14, 2 years after the installation, if this was an issue right away why wait until 5/19/14 to contact our office. [Member name removed] had an outside source clean & seal his lanai and who ever did this job destroyed his paver installation. This company is the ones responsible for either fixing the pavers or paying someone to fix the pavers. We will not warranty work destroyed by a clean & seal company or who ever did the job. Chris Gendron made you aware of this when he met with you onsite. If we don't stand behind our work why would we even go out to the job site. To have 3 or 4 pavers wobble in the beginning is to be expected, but 250 s/f wobble is because of your clean & seal professionals. [Member name removed]'s story has changed numerous times and I would like to also address the cost it was $23,000.00 not $230,000.00."
"Thank you [member name removed]. Sorry about the manufacturers mix up. Please refer us to anyone you may know."
I will never use this company again. I hired them to repair a sunken driveway caused from a phone company doing repairs in my neighborhood. When we discussed what he would do I was under the understanding he was going to repair the driveway all the way across. They did about half way across. I still have some sunken pavers that I had to hire someone else to fix.
They were told I was an Angies List Member and I thought there was a discount associated with that. There wasn't.
At 8:00am the workers were outside my house banging the heck out of their wheel barrel. Not sure if they were doing it to get the dings out or just to wake up the neighborhood. Neighbors were calling me upset. Very disrespectful and annoying. Do this work at the office or warehouse. Not outside your customers homes.
They drug the house from the very back of the house to use instead of knocking on my door and asking me to unlock the spigot on the one that was a foot away from them. This other hose had been placed behind my bougainvillea. Once they removed it, it damaged my plant and we have had to cut it back.
I sent them the check and a note with what I thought was bad customer service with no follow up to see if the customer was happy and I haven't heard a word from them. They cashed their check immediately. So much for being customer friendly and respectful company.
The sad part is, I do home watch and two customers of mine are looking for someone to do patios and walkways and I won't recommend them. So I will try other companies and hopefully they will be better.
"After talking to our superintendent, we did the entire driveway across the lower part as discussed on our proposal. Why you had to call someone else is unknown, you should have contacted us immediately and we would have sent our superintendent out to look at it and correct any issues with the job. We do not offer any discount for Angie's List customer we never have so I don't know how you got that impression. We are a construction type company and generally speaking we do start earlier than most. I did call you on March 3 to let you know we would be on site on March 10, you did not answer your phone so I left a message advising you of our start. I am very conscious of things that need to be written down that is why I know specifically that you were called and you never called back so I assumed you would be ready for us. Sometimes while in the field we do have some equipment problems and have to adjust them on site. When our crew arrived on your job they did ring the door bell and there was no answer. If you saw or heard us on site you could have offered the front hose. When we received your check there was no note with the check and we received no email or phone call from you in reference to any problems with your job. I am truly sorry for any inconvenience we may have caused you."

AFTER
We contacted them regarding our desire to have a new drive, walk and porch. They were at our home within two days to discuss the project and had an estimate to us the next day. It was then our turn to decide on the paver, color and style that we wanted. There was no pressure and we did make a trip to their show room in Fort Myers to looks at samples. We were also permitted to bring samples home to try in our drive. As we narrowed our choices, we were directed to different addresses in the area that had a particular pattern or color in which we were interested.
Once a decision was made, it took three to four weeks for the pavers to arrive. The job was done in three days. One day of tear out, and two days of installation. The crews were prompt, courteous and professional and the project manager showed up regularly to answer any of our questions.
Unfortunately, one of our sprinkler heads was covered over; however, Rock Solid Pavers were back the next day to correct the problem. We would recommend prominently marking any of your sprinkler heads that are near their work area.
We felt their prices were competitive, their work was excellent and they were great to work with. We love the finished product and would use them again. We highly recommend Rock Solid Pavers.
The crew of 5 arrived around noon. Jose (foreman) and his crew; Casimiro, Luis, Sergio and Valentin worked diligently. I was overwhelmed at the speed and accuracy the crew possessed installing the pavers. The crew leveled the area, laid 3 pallets of bricks, knocking out the job from start to finish in 3 hours
Dwight (owner) has a wonderful crew and I have no trepidation recommending Rock Solid Paver because the work they do is rock solid!
"Thanks so much for the great review. We love our homeowners. Please keep us in mind for future projects."
"Thanks for the review. We are a family owned business, we were all born & raised in Florida. We love our homeowners."
Rock solid pavers workers arrived promptly at 8am. I met them and showed them where pool rest room was and offered them water and coffee.
Guys started the work and everything was looking good. I would check on them from time to time and ask if they needed a drink or coffee but for the most part left them alone. What i did which was a huge problems later on was the saw which they used to cut bricks. They used the saw machine right at the entrance to my pool. With the wind the dust was flying everywhere. I mean everywhere. I spent 3.5 hrs the next morning cleaning up which i'll get to.
At approx 12 noon i looked out and they were gone. All the bricks laid and the walkway extended but no clean up what so ever. They left an absolute mess. Items left behind, twine, sponges, sand, pool screen door left open, everything had paver dust on it. The total area was a complete mess with paver sand washed up and into the screens, the flower beds next to extended walkway completely ruined, etc. What horrible experience!
I was so upset that i email Don and he sent out a foreman who actually had to replace 4 broken pavers they installed, cleaned up more of the mess, etc. That foreman spent an additional 2 hrs adjusting pavers, adding sand to joints, washing down patio, etc.
I was mailed a bill with a $100.00 trip charge to boot. I just had to shake my head that someone would charge that cost to come to my home. I could have filled their tank for $50.00.
