Beware their warranty. Have been waiting for almost a year for the work to be done and despite many assurances, we are still waiting!

They had to come back 4 times because it was a complete mess. Pavers were uneven, gaps, broken, too much concrete on the sides. Final call was to the owner who came out with a crew and fixed the remaining problems that were not corrected on the previous 3 trips.

Mark was the main contact.  He came out and measured and made a decent drawing of what we were looking for.  In every way that was possible, without sacrificing quality, Mark tried to save us money.  Mark kept in touch with us in terms of scheduling.  The crew arrived on a Thursday morning around 8am, and had completely torn out the old driveway and walkway in a day!  Then Friday morning around 8 again, a three man crew showed up and laid all the pavers for the driveway and walkway.  The job was finished by 5PM!  As part of installing the walkway, we had to have the screens and the front door to our front lanai raised.  Mark came by on Thursday to make sure a crew was out to take care of that.  Then on Wednesday of the following week after the concrete barrier that holds the pavers in on the side had dried, Mark came by to make sure that the crew was out to reinstall our screens and front lanai door.  Jose came by that day with some sod (which I didn't think was really necessary, because we are going to be resodding our front lawn this year) and placed that along the edge of the driveway to make sure it looked great.  A sprinkler head that was near the edge of the driveway was broken in the process of putting in the pavers, and Jose dug up the pipe and installed a new sprinkler head.  Overall I feel that Mark, Jose, and the entire crew of Rock Solid Pavers did a fantastic job on our new driveway and walkway.  They were prompt, professional, and very reasonably priced.  I plan to use them again on a small walkway I have in my backyard.

We called Rock Solid Pavers  with a message about our walkway needs.  The next day Rock Solid returned our call and said they would send someone to estimate our job..  On the scheduled day, at the scheduled time (Mark) arrived to take a look at our walkway.

Mark was clean cut, easy to talk to,  understanding, and new his job.  He measured our job and then asked us what paver color and type we had in mind.   We told him we wanted a cobblestone style.  Mark mentioned that he had some excess pavers left over from several different jobs and that if we liked any of these pavers it could save us some money.

Marked estimated that if we liked any of the pavers he had in stock the job would be 1500 dollars. We asked Mark to give us a written estimate including tear out old walkway,  paver installation, and cleanup.

Later that day Mark sent us an email with the written estimate and also some pictures of the pavers that he had in stock.

Mark also invited us to come out to Rock Solid and take a first had look at the pavers he had available on hand.

Mark also offered us the option to get order any style paver we wanted from his paver source.

We decided to pick one of the pavers Mark had on hand and signed a contract to have Rock Solid install the pavers as soon as we could be scheduled.  We were scheduled for the next morning 3/21/16 and at 8:00 am on 3/21/16 Rock Solid showed up to do the job.

Rock solid did and excellent job, they did what was contracted, tore out the old walkway, installed the new paver walkway, cleaned up all the mess and left a near perfect walkway, with straight lines and a great paver pattern.

The crew was great, and a pleasure to have work around my yard.

Mark came by the next morning to inspect the job and ask us if there was anything that we were not please with.

The truth is this is the first job I have had done in Florida that I was completely satisfied with.

Thank You Mark,  Thank you Rock Solid Pavers

We did our due diligence and obtained 3 quotes for the replacement of our driveway.  Rock Solid Pavers offered us the best price, they are highly rated on Angie's List, and we were able to see a driveway they had just completed near us.  Our driveway was a bit unique as we had the regular 2 car concrete driveway plus a section a previous owner had added (using landscape pavers) that was a real mess and was starting to buckle.  Rey Garcia, the project manager, was great to work with.  He came out several times to help me work through exactly what the new drive should look like and again when we decided to have an additional section done.  They ordered the pavers very quickly and then worked around our schedule for the install date.  Their crews showed up the first day at around 8:30 (I was thrilled that they did not show up earlier as I had been afraid of my neighbors' reaction to major construction starting at 6:30 in the morning) and very quickly had the old drive removed.  The entire job went very smoothly with their various crews doing their thing.  Everyone that showed up at my house from Rock Solid Pavers acted in a polite and professional manner.  These guys really know what they are doing and are very efficient.  Two issues came up during the project.  First was finding a hidden storm drain where the expansion was going.  Rey was there within 30 minutes and his folks were able to resolve the issue without negatively impacting the expansion.  The other issue involved an unknown sprinkler line that caused an issue with the paver base.  Rock Solid Pavers came out within one day and fixed the problem.  The results are amazing.  We get compliments from others in our community almost every day.  We would absolutely recommend Rock Solid Pavers to our neighbors and friends.

After the job was completed, right away, I noticed that the pavers in the lanai were wobbling. Showed it to the owner, CHRIS GENDRON  right away. He looked at it, and said " give it 6 months and they will settle" . Almost a year had passed, I now noticed that more than ten paver stones had a peculiar bright red, and round stains. Also noticed about 4 cracked pavers both in lanai and driveway. Called the office a few times , and left messages. never returned phone calls. Then I noticed that he also has a cell number. Called him a few times. no answer. finally after a few weeks of trying he picked it up, and said he remembers me and he will come by. Months passed by! called again, so finally CHRIS GENDRON showed up and looked at the problems. He noticed the wobbling and said" the pressure washing from the sealer guy" caused this! told him I showed the very same spots, the day after the job was done and you said it will settle after a few months. Then he looked at the bright red rust stains, and cracked ones. He said the rusts are impurities in the stones, and have to be replaced. He promised me he will fix it. 2 months passed. Called again , and again. Finally got a hold of him and said, In a month his workers will be down in naples for other jobs and will fix yours too. Another month or so passed. kept calling, and finally got a hold of him. He said since the problem was caused by "pressure washer guy" he won't help me. also He can't help me with the cracked ones, and the stained ones! he still has ads running in HOME MAG boasting a 5 year warranty.
Response from ROCK SOLID PAVERS
"Rock Solid Pavers stands behind all their work & warranties. It is unfortunate that he feels this issue is under warranty. Your pavers were destroyed by the clean & seal company and you expect Rock Solid Pavers to redo the whole lanai area. This job was completed on 4/10/12. We never received any phone calls from [member name removed] until 5/19/14, 2 years after the installation, if this was an issue right away why wait until 5/19/14 to contact our office. [Member name removed] had an outside source clean & seal his lanai and who ever did this job destroyed his paver installation. This company is the ones responsible for either fixing the pavers or paying someone to fix the pavers. We will not warranty work destroyed by a clean & seal company or who ever did the job. Chris Gendron made you aware of this when he met with you onsite. If we don't stand behind our work why would we even go out to the job site. To have 3 or 4 pavers wobble in the beginning is to be expected, but 250 s/f wobble is because of your clean & seal professionals. [Member name removed]'s story has changed numerous times and I would like to also address the cost it was $23,000.00 not $230,000.00."

The brick company delivered the wrong bricks and the project was delayed for several days. Rock Solid was very accommodating and were back on the job immediately after the correct pavers were delivered. The crew was friendly and worked hard. Clean up was very good. One of the deciding factors in giving them our business is that they required no money until the project was completely done to our satisfaction. We were extremely happy we selected Rock Solid Pavers to put in our new driveway.

I will never use this company again. I hired them to repair a sunken driveway caused from a phone company doing repairs in my neighborhood. When we discussed what he would do I was under the understanding he was going to repair the driveway all the way across. They did about half way across. I still have some sunken pavers that I had to hire someone else to fix.

They were told I was an Angies List Member and I thought there was a discount associated with that. There wasn't.

At 8:00am the workers were outside my house banging the heck out of their wheel barrel. Not sure if they were doing it to get the dings out or just to wake up the neighborhood. Neighbors were calling me upset. Very disrespectful and annoying. Do this work at the office or warehouse. Not outside your customers homes.

They drug the house from the very back of the house to use instead of knocking on my door and asking me to unlock the spigot on the one that was a foot away from them. This other hose had been placed behind my bougainvillea. Once they removed it, it damaged my plant and we have had to cut it back.

I sent them the check and a note with what I thought was bad customer service with no follow up to see if the customer was happy and I haven't heard a word from them. They cashed their check immediately. So much for being customer friendly and respectful company.

The sad part is, I do home watch and two customers of mine are looking for someone to do patios and walkways and I won't recommend them.  So I will try other companies and hopefully they will be better.

"After talking to our superintendent, we did the entire driveway across the lower part as discussed on our proposal. Why you had to call someone else is unknown, you should have contacted us immediately and we would have sent our superintendent out to look at it and correct any issues with the job. We do not offer any discount for Angie's List customer we never have so I don't know how you got that impression. We are a construction type company and generally speaking we do start earlier than most. I did call you on March 3 to let you know we would be on site on March 10, you did not answer your phone so I left a message advising you of our start. I am very conscious of things that need to be written down that is why I know specifically that you were called and you never called back so I assumed you would be ready for us. Sometimes while in the field we do have some equipment problems and have to adjust them on site. When our crew arrived on your job they did ring the door bell and there was no answer. If you saw or heard us on site you could have offered the front hose. When we received your check there was no note with the check and we received no email or phone call from you in reference to any problems with your job. I am truly sorry for any inconvenience we may have caused you."

Our new home was built after hurricane Charley, and after seven years the pavers around the pool started to sink, a section of the front walk area had sunk about 4 inches, I believe a rotted tree stump had caused the depression, and one foot area across the driveway had a depression. I'm sure this was precipitated by all the rain our area had last rainy season. Four workers showed up at 8:15 AM, by 11AM  most all the pavers around the pool had been re-leveled plus a planter area had been filled with new matching pavers. As things around the pool area finished up, part of the crew started on the walk area and the driveway. By 12:30 they had cleaned up everything and finished the job. I would use them again anytime. I would give them an A+.

They did a great job, turned up on time as arranged and completed the repair so you could barely see where the problem had been. I would have given them A grades except I specifically asked them to protect the roadway in front of my home from their materials so it didn't get marked. My homeowners association requested this because the road had recently been re-sealed at substantial cost and they wanted to keep it looking its best. Although the people who dealt with the estimate and getting my signature on the contract assured me this would be taken care of, it wasn't by the crew who came and did the work and I had additional cost afterwards to hire a pressure-washing guy to clean up all the sand and scuff marks from off the roadway that could have been avoided if they had laid down a tarp as I asked.

We had many presentations from Paver companies and were most impressed by Rock Solid . Duanne and Donald guided us through our selections with no pressure .The photos of completed  driveways and the paver samples helped us make our final choice of design and color much easier.  We had to wait a couple of extra weeks before work could begin because of the color we choose for the pavers. Everything was done on time , professionally and the workmanship is amazing. A little over a year later and the driveway stills looks like it was finished yesterday. Just before the driveway was completely finished we made a change in  the design of the brick border, the change  was done  in an afternoon. We can not speak highly enough about the crew that installed the pavers , they were incredibly professional , and real artisans at their craft. We have recieved compliments from strangers driving and walking by. All our friends love it too. It has transformed the entry to our home beautifully, Thank you Rock Solid!

I had a sever problem with my concrete driveway.  It was an eyesore and was in terrible condition.  I had considered a new concrete drive but did not want to have the same problems crop up in the future so I decided to go with pavers.  I wanted a professional company to do the job and consulted Angie's List.  This project prompted me to become a member so I could find this best of the best.  I found three companies listed with Angie and they all had "A" ratings.  So I call all of them and had bids from them.  They were all prompt, professional and in the same Ballpark.  The one company I had a quote from that was not listed with Angie was the most expensive by $2000.  I was most impressed with Mike at Rock Solid Pavers.  He was friendly and professional and had a contract with the most competitive bid of all the companies.  We look at their web site and viewed their work and I was impressed.  We decided to go with Mike at Rock Solid Pavers.  We ordered our pavers which were custom made for us by Tremron, a very high quality paver manufacturer.  We had to wait for about five weeks to have the work started, but Mike gave us a date of the 17th of January to start the project.  They handled all of the permitting process and on the 14th of January their guys showed up at 7:30 am and started the work.  By 1:30 that afternoon the old concrete monstrosity was gone and the paver base was laid.  There was a lot of activity that morning with the two dumpsters that hauled away all the concrete debris and the huge truck that brought in the rock base, to their bobcat forklift that did all the heavy lifting. Pete was a wonder to watch and I would say is an artist with a forklift.  After Monday the place was immaculate and all of the equipment and dumpsters were gone; it was ready for the next phase.  Tuesday 10 pallets of the pavers arrived at 6:30 am and later that day the city inspector gave the ok to proceed.  Wednesday day three of the project started at 7:45am just when Jose, the supervisor of this job, said.  The  four man crew got to work preparing the surface further with sand for the pavers to be installed.  By 10:00am another crew of four came to assist the laying of the pavers.  The guys were amazing to watch.  It was a fine choreographed team and by 1:30 I had a new and finished drive.  This team did it all.  They moved two sprinkler heads, they redesigned the entire drive so their was more useable space and easier access to the front of the house.  They even finished the sides with sod, the street with asphalt and repaired a little piece of existing tile slate on my threshold to make the job perfect.  They cleaned up the sight completely and when they left for the day it looked like the new driveway had been there forever.  We are planning to do our patio in the next few months and I will be giving them a call for our business then as well.  I can't give them a high enough rating.

The crew showed up on time and actually fit us into their schedule earlier than expected.  We could see they knew what they were doing and worked hard to remove the sunken pavers, build up the base, and re-install the pavers.  The pool deck now looks like new.

We appreciated working with Rick Solid Pavers and, in particular, our project manager Chris.
We contacted them regarding our desire to have a new drive, walk and porch.  They were at our home within two days to discuss the project and had an estimate to us the next day.  It was then our turn to decide on the paver, color and style that we wanted.  There was no pressure and we did make a trip to their show room in Fort Myers to looks at samples.  We were also permitted to bring samples home to try in our drive.  As we narrowed our choices, we were directed to different addresses in the area that had a particular pattern or color in which we were interested.
Once a decision was made, it took three to four weeks for the pavers to arrive.  The job was done in three days.  One day of tear out, and two days of installation.  The crews were prompt, courteous and professional and the project manager showed up regularly to answer any of our questions.
Unfortunately, one of our sprinkler heads was covered over; however, Rock Solid Pavers were back the next day to correct the problem.  We would recommend prominently marking any of your sprinkler heads that are near their work area.
We felt their prices were competitive,  their work was excellent and they were great to work with.  We love the finished product and  would use them again.  We  highly recommend Rock Solid Pavers.

The job started out strange enough.  We were having our cul-de-sac repaved the next day (Tuesday)  due to scheduling snafu?s unrelated to Rock Solid Pavers . Our sales Rep Don called and told me they were adding labor in an effort to finish the job to insure there wasnt any hangups with on Rock Solid Pavers end regarding our cul-de-sac asphalt repaving project.
The crew of 5 arrived around noon.  Jose (foreman) and his crew; Casimiro, Luis, Sergio and Valentin worked diligently.  I was overwhelmed at the speed and accuracy the crew possessed installing the pavers. The crew leveled the area, laid 3 pallets of bricks, knocking out the job from start to finish in 3 hours
Dwight (owner) has a wonderful crew and I have no trepidation recommending Rock Solid Paver because the work they do is rock solid!

Once we had decided to accept their bid we went to their showroom to pick out the pavers and sign the contract. They have a huge selection of types, colors, and patterns actually in the ground outside their door which makes it easy to picture how they'll look (the picture book provided gives an idea, but is not entirely reliable). Don and Duane gave us very good advice on choosing the pavers that would look best with our house. The crew showed up right on schedule, and the work was finished as promised even though there was a hold-up due a misunderstanding on the part of the Cape Coral inspector that delayed the work by a day. Don, the project manager, had a double crew come and finish the job to stay within the agreed-upon time frame. The driveway and walkway look phenomenal, and include several nice details (like a flare at the front door) that we hadn't expected. The join with the asphalt where the driveway meets the street is flawless, unlike 3/4 of the jobs we have seen. We have had many compliments from our neighbors and visitors.... We just couldn't be happier. I should add that Don came by several days after the job was completed to make sure we were satisfied, and then again a month or so later when we needed advice on upkeep. Our only regret is that we did not have a culvert laid under the driveway: rainwater, and consequently dirt and sand, do collect in the swale of the driveway. But that was our decision, not Rock Solid's!

Don came out and gave me estimate and stated not to exceed $800.00 in labor and material. He stated that he would need to add some brick to extend the walkway and his brick would not match. A day later i found 25-30 original bricks behind some shrubs on the side of my house.   Great now i'll have matching brick.
Rock solid pavers workers arrived promptly at 8am. I met them and showed them where pool rest room was and offered them water and coffee.
Guys started the work and everything was looking good. I would check on them from time to time and ask if they needed  a drink or coffee but for the most part left them alone. What i did which was a huge problems later on was the saw which they used to cut bricks. They used the saw machine right at the entrance to my pool.  With the wind the dust was flying everywhere.  I mean everywhere. I spent 3.5 hrs the next morning cleaning up which i'll get to.
At approx 12 noon i looked out and they were gone.  All the bricks laid and the walkway extended but no clean up what so ever.  They left an absolute mess.  Items left behind, twine, sponges, sand, pool screen door left open, everything had paver dust on it.  The total area was a complete mess with paver sand washed up and into the screens, the flower beds next to extended walkway completely ruined, etc.  What horrible experience!
I was so upset that i email Don and he sent out a foreman who actually had to replace 4 broken pavers they installed, cleaned up more of the mess,  etc.  That foreman spent an additional 2 hrs adjusting pavers, adding sand to joints, washing down patio, etc.
I was mailed a bill with a $100.00 trip charge to boot. I just had to shake my head that someone would charge that cost to come to my home. I could have filled their tank for $50.00.
