"I had a very disappointing and beyond frustrating experience with JEANNELLY JAY OWNER & PRINCIPAL INTERIOR DESIGNER at Ivyleaf Interior Decor. I should have read the plethora of bad reviews prior to hiring this company. The poor reviews are consistent with what I experienced. but there were so many good ones too Prior to hiring JEANNELLY JAY OWNER & PRINCIPAL INTERIOR DESIGNER at Ivyleaf Interior Decor , I very clearly expressed expectations through photographs and conversation. If JEANNELLY could not deliver the luxury staging experience Ivyleaf Interior Decor promotes, we should never have engaged in a working relationship. At a minimum, JEANNELLY should have been upfront about lacking inventory (the excuse I was given), and that the glamorous look to which I was aspiring could not be achieved. Instead, JEANNELLY took $14,900.00 upfront, and delivered substandard staging; dirty, stained and damaged furniture and art. Furthermore, a clashing "farmhouse" style was incorporated into one of the main rooms; highly inconsistent with the glamorous style of the home's design. The corrective action the rep took to remove the dirt from the art was to stick her finger in her mouth in an attempt to wipe off the dirt on the art. Not appropriate under any circumstances, but especially egregious in the COVID era. I lost confidence in getting JEANNELLY the Owner at Ivyleaf Interior Decor, LLC to rectify the situation. In order to achieve a quality look, consistent with the home's quality construction and design, I had to move several of my own art pieces, accessories and furniture into the home. On the day JEANNELLY and Ivtyleaf team was scheduled to vacate the premises, I drove 2 hours to meet the crew at 8:00 AM, our scheduled time; the crew was over 3 hours late. JEANNELLY continuously lied to me about the crew getting stuck in early morning traffic. The truth, JEANNELLY and Ivyleaf Interior decided to schedule another job prior to my scheduled 8:00 AM time slot. Par for the course."
