"I am a retired facilities services Buyer and have hire many contractors over the course of 30 years. Ms. Bailey was the first of the three contractors to get back to me. She responded promptly to my request for quote. She is honest and true to her word. She understood that I was out of state and that I needed her to clean up yard waste and junk left behind by a former tenant. I don't usually pay someone in advance work but in good faith I decided to do it with her based on her past reviews. They completed the work over and above expectations! When it comes to how they run their business.... quote, schedule work, perform the scope work. Thank you Ms. Bailey and I look forward to working with you in the near future."

"They were very nice and got the job done in an awesome time. I will definitely hire again, we have more projects to get done and Devine Shine will be the first ones we'll call when we're ready to begin them, hopefully they will be available. The price was reasonable and the project was professionally and awesomely finished quite unexpectedly quickly. This was my second time trying to hire someone to help me with our home, the first one 'Kevin Cleaning' never kept the scheduled appt. nor called to explain why, I had never hired online before and was very disappointed! But with Devine Shine, not only did a beautiful job but restored my confidence that hiring online can be a fun and enjoyable experience. THANKS AGAIN DEVINE SHINE!! and Home Advisor, for putting us together with a wonderful family who worked hard to satisfy my needs, I'm totally satisfied and am sure you will be also."

"Alicia has a great personality and is a very hard worker. Fast too! I am bringing her back in two days for a final trash out before my move. She was also not judgmental about how bad I let things get. She is a real lifesaver!!!"

Floor Polishers questions, answered by experts

While it is not recommended, you can mix Bon Ami with vinegar for a more powerful cleaning mixture. However, you should avoid mixing other types of powder cleaners, such as Comet and Ajax, with vinegar or with each other, as the reaction often creates a toxic gas that’s dangerous to the human body.

You can buff out small scratches or indentations from your hardwood floor, but refinishing is your best bet if you have larger areas that need work. Floors in relatively good shape but have lost their luster can be restored with thorough buffing. If your finish has worn off in areas or if you have sun or water damage, you should go with refinishing instead.

Both buffing and polishing increase the longevity of your floors by removing scratches and buildup, but they are different processes. Polishing removes the top layer of your floor, removing surface-level scuffs and scratches. Buffing your floor involves filling the scratches and scuffs with a buffing solution. No matter which method you choose, you can rest assured that both techniques will leave your floor looking shiny and new.

Yes, but with caution. A floor grinder is intended to level and polish concrete, so it is a very powerful tool. To remove paint, the floor grinder should be set to 35 square feet per minute or less to minimize the pressure without the use of pocket weights. You might need to go over the surface two times to get any paint that has sunk into the concrete’s pores.

Cleaning floors is a relatively easy DIY job, but paying for a professional cleaning service is worthwhile if you don’t have the time to dedicate to cleaning or if you have particularly dirty floors, deep-set stains, or wooden floors that you might damage during the cleaning process. A professional house cleaner will have the tools and experience necessary to remove dirt, pet hair, debris, and even stains and discoloration from your floors without damaging them. The service is also relatively affordable, making it a great investment if you don’t have the time or tools to do it yourself.
