"Very well. The slight dip in the kitchen looks better and the doors trued up. The slight sag still in the kitchen floor is because of the sub floor plywood which I didn't want to get in to. They leveled the joist by shimming the tops of several cinder block posts and installing a pair permanent of steel posts under a section of joist the previous owner had cut in two."
"Overall, it was a good experience. AAA put down a vapor barrier and installed a Santa Fe dehumidifier with sump pump. The result is that we can now use the stand-up basement/crawlspace to store things under the house without ruining them. This is the part that you need to know. The installation was not without problems. First, they broke an A/C drain pipe, second, they cut a sprinkler controller wire while running a PVC pipe. Here's my take, accidents happen but how does the business respond to these issues? Well, Donna was very quick to send her team out to correct the problems and they even paid for the damage to the sprinkler system. To me, that's top notch customer service. Any business can make a mistake, but how they handle it is the mark of a good company. Every time I lift the roll door and go into the basement now, I'm amazed at how cool and fresh the air is down there. No more mildew and no more smell."
I would like to recommend the company Crawl Space Doctor. This is actually a very easy recommendation for me to make because the company is that good! The quality workmanship by the employees under direct supervision by this locally owned and operated company is exactly what we were looking for when I chose this contractor.
The owner is Greg McBride. I found that he has been in business in and around the Savannah area for approximately 10 years. Moving to Savannah over 10 years ago, he and his family are now permanent residents and "natives." With Crawl Space Doctor I found that personal relationship that you find with a craftsman that you can trust and depend on. In fact, I shopped around and got estimates up to $17,000. Each job is different, but I can tell you that trust is built when you have a company tell you that they can up the price, but "I am not going to sell something if not needed." In fact, one of the reasons that I am writing this letter is because there was a little more dampness found under the house than expected. Rather than use the standard grade liner, he upgraded the liner to a thicker millimeter grade, because that is what was he assessed was needed at the time. Of course, I was a little worried about the additional cost when he mentioned it in passing. I fully expected Greg to hit me with an additional charge, so I was very pleasantly surprised when he said there would be no charge. He said he just wanted to make sure that it was done right. The home that we live in was built in 1955. When this house was built, there was only a ceiling fan for cooling. Window air conditioners were not as widespread and I would venture to say rare back then. Fast forward to central air conditioning, an open crawl space with water under the house and the high humidity and you have a recipe for disaster. From the crawl space under the house, moisture and depending on the season either hot, humid air or cold air was always affecting the climate control of the house. Consequently, we fought a never ending battle with mold and mildew in the closets and behind furniture.
After Crawl Space Doctors completed the crawl space under the house, we immediately noticed a decrease in humidity and the house not having a musty smell. Whether it is 89% or 25% humidity level outside, the humidity level inside the house with the air condition or heat has fluctuated near the 48% humidity mark +/- 5 points. While it will take a year to tell if I have an overall energy or cost savings, it appears that the air condition and/or heat are running less.
Finally, in my case I had to have a couple of concrete pillars put in because of a low spots due to wear of the last 59 years. To me it also says volumes when his employees said that they noticed a mold on the wood under the house because of the residual dampness. Rather than disregard the "small amount" of mold, and make a bad situation worse and fix it anyway, they cleaned the area yet again and rescheduled another time to get the work done. As I can't crawl under the house anymore, I may have never have known about the mold.
In short, I unequivocally recommended the Crawl Space Doctor and have given Greg explicit permission to use me as a reference in the future.
"It went very well. Boucon USA removed my original driveway, hauled off all of the spoils and poured my new driveway all in one day. Very professional and clean. I would be willing to hire them again for any concrete needs."
"The workman was on time, polite, and got straight to work after listening to my instructions. I definitely got my money's worth! He cut down a lot of overgrowth in my yard. He offered to take it all away for me, but I would have had to pay more, and I declined. He then put it all in a pile for me in my back yard, and I will have my son haul it to the front on the appropriate date for the garbage man, I am glad I purchased this deal!"

It will likely take an experienced pro less than an hour to install a ground rod, which is another reason why letting them handle the job is such a good idea. Safety concerns aside, it would likely take you much longer to install a ground rod if you decided to take this one as a DIY job.
This all depends on the tools you have on hand and whether you’re trying to cut a straight line or shapes.
The best tool to use for straight lines is either a circular saw or table saw. When cutting shapes, a jigsaw will be the easiest and most precise tool to use.
The cost to weld aluminum averages about $14 to $22 per pound. The type of metal factors into the overall cost of any welding project due to the cost of the materials and the expertise required to work with it.
Some of the most common metals used by welders include:
Magnesium alloy: $7–$16 per pound
Low-carbon steel: $11–$12 per pound
Stainless steel: $13–$15 per pound
Copper/brass: $24–$29 per pound
Cast iron: $38–$79 per pound
Titanium: $60–$85 per pound
There are a few things you can ask welders before you hire them to get an idea of their experience and ability levels:
Are you licensed and certified?
How long have you been in the welding business?
Do you commonly do the type of welding I need?
Do you offer any kind of warranty for your work?
Do you charge by the hour or by the project?
How long do you expect my welding project to take?
What steps do you take to minimize errors in your work?
Your typical household tools will not cut a metal pipe. To cut a metal pipe, you’d need more specialized tools like a pipe cutter or circular saw. Do not attempt to use these tools without taking proper safety precautions and wearing safety gear. It’s usually safer to let a pro cut a metal pipe, especially if you’re not confident in your skills with a heavy-duty saw.
