I've been designing and drawing blueprints since the early eighties. I've been in the building Supply industry most of my life. It helps greatly. When I started drawing the building department would give you guide lines to follow so that your client could pull a permit. Now you need a qualified individual to sign and seal the blueprints. I still design, but now I work with individuals who qualify the drawings. I know the process well. Whoever you use, that person must be well aware what each municipality requires. Check out this house on Redfin 1814 Lago Vista in Palm Harbor. I designed this house for a past owner of Remax Palm Harbor. Do to poor soil conditions it has special foundation work. The homeowners needed to garage their 32 foot RV; where the design started. I prefer smaller jobs now with quick turnaround but I do larger ones.
