I two companies trying to sell me hurricane impact sliding glass doors saying that the county won't approve the accordion shutters. When I asked Matt if the accordions were acceptable he was honest and said absolutely. I had a very strict budget and he respected that. The staff was always available to answer my questions and the shutters were up just in time for Irma's visit and they stayed in place even after the storm and I was hit rather hard. "We choose ASP impact windows and sliding doors over other vendors because their product (SIW) had thicker aluminum and glass than other less expensive products. They were able to make one 'eyebrow' window in one piece due to glass thickness that other vendors would have had to do in two pieces due to size. We just felt that overall ASP's SIW windows offered a little more safety. Our city inspector must have thought the same thing because he commented several times about how strong they were and event wrote down what they were for his own personal needs. I assume he has seen a lot of windows to inspect, so that gave me even more confidence that we made the right decision. We also had hurricane fabric installed for a covered section of our patio to replace an accordion that was being removed for storage outside of patio furniture, gas grill and plants during a storm. The hurricane fabric is so strong and convenient, it folds up and is stored in a bag, sitting in our closet. Chris our ASP sales person was great at explaining and patient while we did our due diligence. It did take a while for manufacturing, but definitely worth the wait. The installers were professional, keeping the areas as clean as possible, We are very happy with our new impact windows and sliding doors. Our house looks great with the new windows (and accordions removed). Would highly recommend."

D&D Aluminum is a great company. Carey Tarplay came to our home to give an estimate. He suggested we visit his showroom, which we did. We were able to see all of the options to choose from, styles, colors, etc. We wanted to replace our old sliding glass doors with French doors and Carey explained everything that needed to be done and helped us choose the proper layout for the side glass and French doors. My husband and I had checked out a couple of competitors showrooms and I had fallen in love with a front door at one of them. D&D Aluminum didn't carry this line, but Carey said not to worry, he would be able to special order this door for us. This was above and beyond the service I expected.
The doors and windows were installed on time and perfect. The Cooper City building inspector said it was a great job.

"It went well! My appointment had to be rescheduled a few times due to problems beyond our control, but once it occurred, everything went well. The handyman arrived on time and began to work. He went to Home Depot to purchase items needed for the jobs and returned immediately. First, he had to strip a wood bench I wanted to be restained, then stain it a color I wanted. The metal areas of the bench (back, arms, legs) were to be metallically sprayed a bright gold. Second, I wanted the lamp posts around my garage doors to be repainted. The handyman painted the back base of the lamp posts black and the metal areas around the glass were metallically sprayed dark grayish with gold/bronze touches. Finally, a large circular emblem affixed to the front of my home was also spray painted to match the lamp posts."
