Small jobs welcome

"Marshall Land Management was awesome! Adam is very easy to work with and he truly wants to do the job to the satisfaction of the customer. I hired them to replace some sidewalks around the entrance to my house. Adam quoted a price but as often is the case the work needing to be done expanded as we began to uncover hidden issues. I also added a couple other jobs to the overall project. In the end all the work was completed to my satisfaction and the total charge with all the extra work was just a little more than the quote. The price was well worth the final results. I'm extremely happy with Adam's work and plan to use him for future projects. I can wholeheartedly recommend Marshall Land Management."

"I needed a 120x80 lot of land cleared. I contacted this company and within 2 days the job was done. I also needed a few loads of dirt to level the property and that was brought in the day after and also leveled with a machine that they had."

"Service went great. They showed up on time with all the proper equipment. Removed the 3 ugly trees, replaced the 2 beautiful trees. They cleaned up everything, and made the house look brand new. Total time was less than 4 hours. My wife and I are thrilled"

"Background: I hired them to clear a section of my property that had not been utilized for over 20 years. It was impossible to walk two feet into the area due to growth of weeds, ferns, small palms, hanging vines etc.(Average growth about 5 feet high). Very professional and prompt when contacted.. Thoroughly explained what they will do when providing estimate. Stated job on time, completed job in time allocated, as they said they would. They re -reviewed total job, on site, before starting work. Provided constant job status and reviewed same with me as the job progressed to ensure I was pleased with work accomplished to that point in time. They encouraged we do a walk around together, when the job was completed, to ensure my satisfaction All equipment was in excellent shape, no equiment problems when performing task. Equipment operators showed impressive expertise while performing their tasks. They worked as a well coordinated, competent team. They did a thorough cleanup of the area upon completion. I have additional land clearing to do and will go to them as my sole source for this type of work. I highly ecommend them if you require a land clearing contracto."

Land Clearing Services questions, answered by experts

There are a couple of ways you can determine the depth of your well. One method is to use a device called a well sounder. This tool has a long measuring tape containing a sensor to alert you once the end reaches the water.

Or you can DIY it by using a long tape measure with a half-filled bottle of water attached to it. Lower the tape measure into your well. Once you feel tension on the tape, you’ll know the bottle has reached your static water level. This will give you an approximate idea of your well’s depth.

Land surveys are worth it in several scenarios including selling your home, building an addition, constructing a fence, or making major changes to your landscape. A professional land survey can help you avoid legal issues with your neighbors and confirm the value of your property. In many cases, you may be required to order a land survey to receive a construction permit or mortgage loan.

With proper training and experience, reading blueprints is fairly straightforward and not very difficult. If you don’t have the necessary knowledge to interpret the symbols, abbreviations, and other notations used, blueprints may not make sense. Learning to read blueprints can help you understand the construction process and keep you more involved and informed when you’re building a house.

To hire a land surveyor, you need to start by searching online for reputable professionals in your area. Here are a few steps to take when making a shortlist:

  • Browse land surveyor service website

  • Check credentials

  • Read customer reviews

  • Find their contact information

  • Call or email to inquire about more information

  • Ask how far they travel, if you’re some distance away

  • Find out how they charge for their services

  • Ask about schedule and turnaround times

  • Repeat these steps for one to two other services and compare pricing

Prior to excavation, you should prepare the dig site and call 311 before you sign anything.

To get your site ready for excavation, you should move anything in the area that isn’t affixed to the land. You can save money on the excavation by removing hardscaping, including walkways, decks, concrete patios, and paver patios.

Before you carry out any digging, you should call 311 to confirm that there are no utility lines running through your excavation site. Skipping this step could lead to severe injury and property damage if your excavator hits a water, sewage, or gas line.
