Customers say: Quick response

"Lenny was quite timely both in coming to give an estimate and in doing the work. His expertise and training were evident in his explanation of what was needed and how he would progress through the tasks. He cleaned the carpets after vacuuming, cleaned several pieces of furniture and then cleaned porcelain tile and grout adding a sealer for the grout. He brought someone to assist but he did the actual cleaning. Everything looks fantastic and his method led to quicker drying. Also, a true gentleman."

"Travis was able to bring out the beauty of our Terrazzo floors that have been covered up for years by rugs and abused by humans and animals and the outcome was short of a miracle. I spoke to Travis on a Thursday and explained the condition of the floors, and he was able to come out Friday and spent all day cleaning, buffing and sealing over 560+ sq feet of floors. Travis also cleaned the tiles in the kitchen to remove the stains and odors from the grout. He also gave us the cleaner so we can maintain the floors. We received a follow up call to see if we had any questions. Travis gets 5 stars plus from me. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company."

Grout Tile Cleaners questions, answered by experts

Sweep or vacuum regularly to remove loose dirt, mop with mild detergent, and use grout sealer every six months to protect against staining. Prompt attention to spills prevents permanent discoloration and buildup.

Grout lasts about eight to 20 years, depending on the type of grout and where it’s installed. Grout in high-moisture areas, like showers, may have a shorter life span. When grout reaches the end of its life span, it may look discolored or have missing pieces. Old grout can also cause some tiles to loosen, which is a sure sign that it’s time to regrout.

Now that you know the true pleasure of a squeaky-clean floor, you’re probably wondering how to keep floors clean between mop days. Here are the best tips to keep your floor looking spotless:

  • Give floors a quick daily swipe with a microfiber mop.

  • Keep a spray bottle of your cleaning solution on hand to use as needed.

  • Sweep daily and vacuum once or twice a week.

  • Clean up spills and messes as soon as they happen.

  • Place a doormat at each entrance to your home to reduce mud tracking.

  • Consider enforcing a “no shoes inside” policy.

  • Wash your pet’s paws before letting them back inside.

Cleaning your bathtub once per week should be plenty. Keeping up a weekly cleaning schedule will prevent mold or mildew issues, and any cleaning you do will be less labor-intensive. If you can’t find the time to clean your bathtub, you could consider hiring a local residential cleaning service.

Many services offer grout sealing as an add-on. Confirm with your provider before scheduling.
