"We had chipped stucco in several places on our house and it needed repair prior to painting. We found Bay to Bay Stucco & Stone and read all of their great reviews. Ryan came out, walked the entire house, and gave us an estimate for the stucco repairs and painting. We were so impressed with the entire team! Crystal was so helpful throughout the process and called several times to give us updates and see how the job was progressing. The stucco and painting teams were professional and did such an amazing job! We absolutely could not be happier with the results. Our home looks awesome. We are so thankful to have found and hired Ryan and his team. We will be highly recommending this company to our family and neighbors!"

"I hired the company to to do a complete renovation to the entire first floor of my house.. I had estimates from other companies and that were by far the lowest. Las by Mr. Christian, they did a fantastic job. They were professional and completed the job in a reasonable time. I would highly recommend this company to paint or install drywall."

Stucco questions, answered by experts

A standard drill will work just fine if you’re drilling small holes, and only a few of them. But anything with a diameter larger than 3/8 inch is best done with a hammer drill, since it is stronger, faster, and also makes your drill bits last longer. While you don’t absolutely need a hammer drill for stucco, it is a worthy investment if you think you might drill more holes down the road.

You can use small bits that are up to 3/8 inch in diameter, or larger bits that are 1/2 inch or more in diameter. Make sure the bits you use are coated with carbide or diamond; this information is usually visible on the package. You can also use hole saw bits to drill into stucco.

Properly installed and maintained stucco can last 50 to 100 years, making it one of the longest-lasting siding materials available. This durable material is known for its durability, and as long as you clean and waterproof it regularly and promptly repair any damage, it’ll protect your home for decades to come.

Yes, you can apply the stucco yourself, but it is a time- and labor-intensive project, especially on the exterior of a whole house. DIY stucco is better suited for repairing stucco siding or siding a smaller building, such as a shed or garage. Since most of the cost of stucco siding goes to labor, you can cut down significantly on the total if you’re up for the challenge.

Yes, you can screw directly into stucco. Only do so if the item you are installing is a permanent fixture. Drill a pilot hole into the stucco using a masonry or concrete bit, then drive in the screw with a power drill or screwdriver.
