"Beware! Not only is David Rutter a bad pool contractor, he is a dishonest person. It took him 11 months to build our pool and wasn't because of weather delays. It would have taken him longer if we had not stepped in and worked with the sub-contractors directly. There were at least 2 times we did not see or hear from Mr. Rutter for over 2 months. We had to threaten legal action for him to answer. He only communicated through email. We were not allowed to call or text. Then it could take up to 3 weeks for him to answer in an incoherent response. We just wanted to work together but he wanted to battle every step of the way. He ordered the wrong pavers and argued ferociously that is wasn't his mistake and he wasn't going to fix it and he didn't. He put the bubblers in the wrong place on the sun shelf and he refused to move them. Luckily one of his workers did it for me. He would lie to us constantly about the process of the pool. Anytime there was a delay he said it was because of permitting, when in fact he had never even submitted the paperwork to the county. We checked up on him through the county and found out many times that he was lying. He had very strange and erratic behavior. When it finally cam time to do the final surface inside the pool he did not order enough material, the subcontractors scrambled to find more material. The special tile mosaics he had installed were done incorrectly. The subcontractors that were doing the final surface had to correct his mistakes. We never saw him anymore once we started acting as general contractor and dealt and paid the sub contractors directly. The pool has been done for over a month and the grout in the pool tile is coming out. So now we are re-grouting that ourselves. It was never David's fault and he was always the victim. He was very foulmouthed and a bully especially toward me as a woman. He was never apologetic and tried to charge us more money for his mistakes. We went with David because he was a local pool contractor in our area. We were trying to help the local business owner. He does not deserve that support."

If you have a pool, you know how important regular maintenance is. If you are like many people, time is in short supply and those daily and weekly maintenance chores can add up, especially during the summer. A pool service can not only help you with regular chores, but may be able to spot problems before they become major repair projects. We provide our customers with a wide range of pool maintenance choices from simply ensuring that chemicals are kept at optimum levels to weekly full servicing of your pool & spa. Our full service options include: •Checking the filter pressure and removal of debris from the pump strainer and skimmer basket. •Regular rinsing and/or backwashing of dirt from the filter. •Physical inspection and testing of all equipment for proper operation and checking for leaks. •Brushing down the walls with a combination stainless steel/nylon brush to loosen algae on concrete walls. •Vacuuming and netting debris from your pool. •Testing the water chemistry and adding chemicals as needed. Hiring a pool service can free up your time, ensure that your pool is clean and maintained so you can enjoy it, and may prolong the life of your pool. In addition, a pool maintenance company can provide annual and seasonal care with the correct equipment and experience as an addtional service.

Pool and Spa Servicing questions, answered by experts

You should drain your hot tub three to four times a year to give it a thorough cleaning. This should take about an hour, but it depends on the size of your tub.

Yes, air baths are good for you. They promote relaxation, improve circulation, and can even hydrate your skin. Since they’re gentler than water jets and whirlpools, they are a good choice for a wide range of homes and users, from children to adults. You can maximize the benefits by using them regularly for stress relief and by pairing the bubble effects with calming music, low lighting or chronotherapy, aromatherapy, and other relaxation techniques.

Using bubble bath, bath oils, bath salts, or moisturizing products that contain butters or oils can damage your jetted tub. Because of the water pump and jet mechanism, you need to be more selective with products for a jetted tub than you would for a traditional bathtub in order to keep it functioning properly and avoid expensive repairs. These products also leave residue that can feed mildew and mold, so it’s best to avoid them.

It’s possible to move a hot tub on its side or base as long as it fits snugly in the moving truck, with plenty of padding around it. This moving method requires specialized equipment and careful planning, like moving straps, dollies, and moving blankets.

Vinegar can be used as an all-purpose cleaner for many things, including hot tub filters. Soaking hot tub filters in vinegar and water for up to 24 hours can remove dirt and oil, and as a bonus, it won’t cause the water to foam after you reinstall it if there’s vinegar left on it. But make sure you still rinse it to remove any debris, dirt, or grime stuck on it.
