    I have used Hub Cycle since 2006 and he has always serviced my Cub Cadet Tractor riding lawnmower. He will never sell you anything you don't need. I asked for new blades once and he told me don't waste your money the ones you have are just fine. Not many repair shops around now days that would tell you that. Rich is a very honest man.

    I was looking for a small engine repair shop and a friend recommended Buyea's in Sebring (same family has a location in Lake Placid also). I couldn't have been more impressed with the place. Very professional, clean and honest. The issue with my trimmer was fixed on the spot and the edger was repaired in 3 days. I will definitely use them from now on.

    If I could leave zero stars, I absolutely would. Me and my boyfriends lawn mower wouldn’t start, being an expensive lawn mower we decided to look into having it repaired. He took it to Mr. Ed’s on 9/24/2020, received a ticket and was told he would receive a call when all was finished. A week passes and he tried to call on 9/2/2020, but no answer and no return call. After another couple of days, my boyfriend called back on Wednesday 10/7/2020 and was told that the lawn mowers part just came in that day and would be ready the next day. No call came on Thursday, my boyfriend tried to call today 10/9 but received no answer. He decided to stop by the shop due to no response and was told the part did not work and the manufacturer was no longer producing the part needed and another order for the part was made through a different supplier. At this point, two weeks has gone by and I need my lawn mowed. My boyfriend asked to have the lawnmower returned and was told it would be $30... to retrieve the lawn mower... that belongs to me? They WOULD NOT allow my boyfriend to retrieve OUR LAWN MOWER until the $30 was paid and would not give a valid, thorough explanation to the charge. I do not believe the part was ordered in the first place and the shop was left scrambling for an excuse to find more time to actually work on my lawn mower. Please take my experience as a warning to not conduct business with Mr. Ed’s

    In general, repaired what needed to be fixed. Mower still has some backfire issues. Never had a riding mower repaired, so factoring in the pickup and delivery, perhaps the price was fair, yet it seemed on the high side.

    Because John Deere desires $$$ up front and can take up to a month to obtain parts; many machine shops face the dilemma of informing the customer to prepay for parts (special order items). *** With limited income - I am a stickler for precise estimates; not once, not even twice - to have an incomplete estimate third time; to finally obtain factual estimate on the FOURTH go round. The first two times had fallen on deaf ears with no valuable information. To have a workable relationship - open HONEST COMMUNICATION is a MUST !!!! And with our piece of equipment in shop over three weeks; we have gone from costs per day to costs per hour. With the person who actually does the work on my lawn with MY EQUIPMENT and hubby dropping the equipment off - witnessed a returned customer (alleges with NON-WORKING lawn mower which was picked up the just day before). Please do not get me wrong - Owner/Mechanic is very knowledgeable. And if a 'simple' repair is required - customers can await for their repair. It seems he can repair anything with small motor/engine. This family owned business has that touch of what family pride means; and is critical NOWADAYS. Lessons learned from this experience - thus far, one should always have BACK-UP plan for equipment failure, and one should be an EDUCATED consumer. If I had any idea that my LAWN MOWER would be down for 5-6 weeks; I would have not put the $$$ into the JOHN DEERE and purchased a DR mower/trimmer machine with accessories {as that is how much $$ has gone out the door for back up machine (motor-less lawn mower that cuts TOUGH GRASS, high end tune up parts with installation into JD, the repair billing for JD at this shop, and the outside landscaping services to fill in while our machine is down)}. This has been a BUYER - BE AWARE LESSON; that I will NOT repeat. We have received JD 'BEAST' mower back - with very good sound advice in the operation and care of the machine. It is in bad shape for a a machine (RUSTING BADLY) that is garage stored and only 3.5 years old. And from what I have researched - JOHN DEERE PUSH LAWN MOWERS are not highly rated, while the riders are !!! We are having Dale and his staff to check out other mowers/machines; making recommendations to our friends. We are, also, looking to following Dale's recommendation(s) for future equipment purchases necessary maintain our yard. THEIR SHOP is an ACTIVE WORKROOM !!! They even offer a pick up/delivery service of large equipment for a nominal fee. Thank you for your courtesy, Respectfully, KB

    When I purchased the mower, I also purchased an extended at home warranty. Therefore, the price does not include the service/labor fee, which is about $90. The service tech came to my home to diagnose the problem. Once the problem was diagnosed, the parts had to be shipped to me, which took about a week. The tech knew the approximate date of when I would receive the parts. He scheduled a follow-up visit on the day he diagnosed the problem. I received the parts several days before the scheduled follow-up. I was able to make the repair myself before the follow-up. I called Sears to cancel the follow-up. Sears' customer service did not relay the message to the tech. The tech came to the house on the scheduled follow-up appointment. I felt bad that the tech came to the house and the mower had already been repaired. I did not receive any additional charges for the follow-up.

    The first time I set up an appointment for the company to pick up the mower they didn't show up. The second time they came they were late. They took two weeks to fix my mower and they didn't even fix it. I went to mow the lawn and after five minutes it died and wouldn't restart. Then they came out to fix the mower and stated we are going to do this for free this time but we should charge a service call. Did I mention to tell you that it still doesn't work!!!
