After the job was finished, we started noticing a white powdery looking substance forming along all of the cracks in the patio after a good rain, and when the concrete would dry. Apparently, he did not make me aware that, because there was no moisture barrier under the concrete (something he did not bring up or ask me about beforehand), the water would bleed through and permanently stain the concrete with a white powdery look that would come up through the cracks. I tried numerous substances to try to get it up and it will not come out. When he applied the final sealer, he left brush marks all over it, which also do not come out. When I asked him to consider removing the sealer, and reapplying it, or even leaving it off, he got extremely defensive and unprofessional. Essentially, he quickly became irritated and assumed that I was not going to pay him for his poor work, something I never even suggested, and he immediately came out with "I see where this is going, I'll just lein ya!". When I told him that I had no intentions of not paying him but would like to discuss possible solutions to fix the final product, he just walked away and would not accept the check that I was hastily trying to write out because I certainly did not want a lein on my property. When he was acting like he would not accept my check (and would rather cause me a big hassel by putting a lein on my property) I told him not to leave until I finished writing it or I would just mail it, he then said, "you don't even know my address" (and he smiled at this). Which was true because his invoice did not list out an address. However, I knew that I could easily get an address through the tax office in Lake Charles. In the beginning, he did a good job selling us on his work, even telling us of a couple of businesses that used him and that we could go to and see the floors. Unfortunately, we made a very bad decision by relying on him to advise us about potential problems before he started, then he would not problem solve with us to improve the results. I do not recommend this individual. He was extremely unprofessional. I cannot see any imperfections and, trust me, I have gone over the entire house admiring his work. Even though we have been plagued with rain this Summer/Fall, Rick was able to accomplish everything that I asked of him, including the work I had not considered at our first meeting. He was flexible in accomodating my color changes. It has been amazing to watch Rick work. He is meticulous in his painting, using mostly rollers and brushes. This was a big job. The quality of his work and his attention to detail are very impressive. He also accomplished a few inside projects for me, including two touch of jobs.
I was very happy with the pleasantness of the staff and the professionalism and coordination they provided, getting three women all done and happy in a timely manner, although we were not rushed. The woman that performed my pedicure (wish I could remember her name) was friendly, knowledgeable and spent much time with me. I have horrible, cracked and very tough heels. She worked up a sweat tending to my heels and did not stop until they were smooth. She did not use a razor or grater which I already know is not good my for heels, and I was grateful for that. She noticed I had a nail fungus on one toenail and she made a recommendation as to what I could to for it. She also introduced me to a product to keep my heels smooth until my next appointment. This product was from a well known company that produces spa supplies, and it's working like a charm!
The salon appeared neat and clean compared to some other solons we have visited in the recent past. I'm not a fan of foot baths attached to the chairs, would much rather have a chair with a separate bowl for my feet, as you see in many spas, But the foot baths and water appeared clean.
Over all we had a pleasant experience and my nails, after three weeks, have not dulled, cracked or chipped. I would return to this salon again without hesitation. And as a bonus, there is a really great thrift store next to the salon ne in the same plaza. It's upscale yet not expensive, with very clean, nice inventory.

When I told the plumber, Ed, that I wanted to buy my faucet and sink myself and just have him install it, he said that I should not do that and he would be able to provide the faucet and sink at a wholesale cost and it would be better quality than at the local Lowe's. He said there quality was crap. I told him what I wanted and then he told me what I wanted. He did not want to see a picture or anything, he knew exactly what I wanted -- professional grade, not construction grade. I told him what finish I wanted and he understood that also. His initial estimate was $586.00. I thought that was high, but with the high quality of product for the sink and faucet he promised me, I agreed. When he showed up on 10/8/13, the faucet was not the style I wanted and not the right finish. The sink was a brushed stainless steel and the faucet was a bright chrome. When put together it looked like the faucet was an afterthought. I told him I did not like it. He said he would order me another one in the brushed nickel, but it would be $100.00 more (at that point the estimate was now $686.00). He stopped his work and left with half of my sink with no pipes. He said he could return in one week. After he left I just thought the prices were too high for the quality I ended up getting. I went online at the Lowe's website and found the exact same brand faucet and sink for sale there. The sink price was comparable, but the faucet that I wanted from the beginning was over $100.00 less and in the brushed nickel! So much for better quality provided by him. I called Don's Plumbing back right away to tell them to not order the faucet and that I was going to buy it myself. I asked them for a price total now that I was buying the faucet. Ed called me back and told me it would be $350.00 with a $20.00 restocking fee for the faucet he ordered. I told him I would not pay that because I called back right away to cancel that order. He agreed to take the $20.00 off. Geez! A week later the installation was complete. I called them back a few days later because the sprayer that came out of the top of faucet kept getting stuck under the sink and that you could also pull up the back of the sink from the cabinet. Ed came back out and said that since the pipes were in the middle of the wall, there was nothing he could do about the sprayer getting stuck. When I showed him the back of the sink, he said that he could not get a clamp back there. I told him that if water got back there it would run under the sink. He said I should caulk it. Isn't that what he should have done? He left with nothing done. Overall, the experience was stressful. Ed acted like he could care less. I thought there pricing was and quot;suspiciousand quot; and the products at Lowe's were exactly the same and even better than what he offered me. My final comment is that if you have plumbing needs you should try someone else. I believe you should be provided better service, price, and to say the least, more care about the customer's needs and concerns.

FAQs for brush chipping projects in Inverness, FL
Topsoil costs from $12 to $55 per cubic yard, depending on the type you choose. For example, screened black dirt will cost about $15 per cubic yard. Loam (soil composed of sand, silt, and clay) costs about $17 per cubic yard. Standard screened topsoil costs about $20 per cubic yard. The type of topsoil you need depends on your landscaping plans.
Landscapers typically charge $25 to $50 per person per hour, which equals around $50 to $100 per hour for a two-person crew. These rates can vary depending on your location, the size of staff needed for the job, and overall job type. For example, a larger crew will be needed for structural additions and hardscaping versus planting flowers.
When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.

Mulch costs anywhere from $30 to $150 per cubic yard, depending on the type you choose. On the inexpensive end, red and black mulch are about $35 to $40 per cubic yard, and are typically made from recycled waste wood like shredded old pallets or deck material. Cedar, cypress, and rubber mulch cost anywhere from $100 to $120 per cubic yard. A pro can help you determine the type of mulch most suitable for your landscaping needs.
Yes, you will want to confirm that the tree removal company you hire is insured before proceeding with the job. Tree removal can be dangerous work, and it's important to verify that the company carries the proper insurance to cover any onsite accidents or damage.
