"Let me start buy saying what a Great Service! From the beginning to the end, Darryl and his guys were extremely professional. I called DDS Painting Plus to have some siding replaced on the exterior of my home along with a wall coating. They provided an excellent price for the entire job. With DDS Painting Plus being highly recommended from a close relative. I decided their attitude along with their portfolio of work and combined with a great price that they were the Company for the job. Oh boy was I right! They replaced all the siding in a day which was close to a 1000sqft plus trimmed it out. They followed by masking everything the following day and spraying an extremely sticky primer all in one day “if I ever decide to paint something I’m using that primer sealer”. Coated the walls with a lifetime coating the third day with two full coats not a half butt paint job by any means very thorough. The amount of work that Darryl and Darryl accomplished along with their guys in such a short amount of time was mind boggling. So to finished it off because I could just keep going on forever about how impressed I am with these gentlemen and this company. I would highly and I mean highly recommend those at DDS Painting Plus. Nothing but professionalism!"

Sandblasting Services questions, answered by experts

Sandblasting is useful when you need to strip material off a hard surface. Common reasons to sandblast are to remove paint, rust, or get a surface ready for a new material. You aren’t limited to surfaces like walls either—you can sandblast rusted tools, bicycle frames, cement, bricks, and many others. If what you’re sandblasting is still structurally sound, sandblasting can be a fast and inexpensive way to revive the original material.

There are two ways sandblasting could be dangerous: improper use of the equipment so that the stream touches your skin, and air particles created during the sandblasting process. While the first is easier to avoid and fairly obvious, the second has the potential to be more serious and is much more difficult to understand. This is why you should always hire a pro to sandblast, as they understand the dangers associated with the process. If proper safety measures are taken, then sandblasting is rarely dangerous.

Sanding and pressure washing serve different purposes in deck maintenance, so one is not necessarily better than the other. Pressure washing is ideal for annual cleaning to remove dirt, grime, mold, and mildew. Sanding is a deeper restoration method used to smooth rough surfaces, remove an old finish, and prepare the wood for a new coat of stain or paint. The ideal process for refinishing a deck is to first clean it (with a power washer), then sand it, and finally apply the new stain or finish. While cleaning should be done annually, sanding and staining are typically needed only every one to three years.

Sandblasting is a common method for removing paint. It works great if the underlying material is tough. This is because you can then use more abrasive sandblast materials, making the paint removal process much faster and less expensive. If you plan on removing many layers of paint on smooth surfaces, you’ll need to be more careful about which materials you choose to use to sandblast.

Most projects take 1-3 days, depending on the surface area and complexity.
