"The team was very informative. They were able to work with us and our realtor on scheduling. They quoted us a price off a listing for our home because we didn’t know the sq ft. We were charged as quoted. Got all but 1 stain out and that’s because it was old. Our carpets look amazing and as close to new as they can!"

"I had never heard of Call the Treeman prior to reading about them on Angie's List.  They did have essentially straight A ratings from a significant number of Angie's List clients and I decided to have them provide a bid.  Their bid was several hundred dollars less than their closest competitor, but this price advantage does not tell the entire story.  Most of the other bidders had significant reservations about removing our sickly 60 foot tall water oak.  Most felt the access to our backyard was too restrictive for their equipment, and that several sections of fence would need to be taken down and replaced after work was complete. One required that I find him alternative access to our back yard for his equipment, presumably through our neighbors' yards, and could not guarantee that they would not leave large ruts in their properties.  One local contractor told me that he was reluctant about even bidding the work due to the limited access, and the fact that the water oak was located between a hand built play structure we wished to preserve, and an in ground pool, with surrounding cool deck.   Call the Treeman, on the other hand, planned to remove the trees and limbs using only ropes and chainsaws.  They provided written estimates of the work to be performed, and provided me, upon my request, with a copy of the declarations page from their professional liability insurance coverage.  They were a little behind in their schedule when I first accepted their bid due to some recent rain in our area which had delayed some jobs ahead of me.  They called about a week later with a cancellation and asked if I would like to take the date, which I did.  They arrived on time on the scheduled date with five men, a trailer for wood removal, various chainsaws, ropes and other equipment. We surveyed the work to be done (we had added some work to the front yard, which they bid quite reasonably) and they were off to the races.  They removed all the dead limbs we wanted in short order.  While working over my roof, they stationed one man on the roof to direct branches away from house.  He used a blower to clean off my roof and gutters after the work was done.   When it came to the water oak we were amazed at the efficiency with which they dispatched this ailing tree. They managed to get down the heavy limbs and trunk without any damage to the play structure, pool or cool deck.  When finished they cleared out all of the debris, raking my yard for even the smallest pieces and using a blower to assure the cleanup was complete.  They subcontracted the grinding of the water oak stump (they do not have stump grinder). They arranged for a local contractor to do this, and despite being finished with all of the other work, they would not leave the site on day #2 until he had completed the grinding to assure all went well.  While waiting for the stump grinder they opted to remove multiple suckers from live oak limbs in the front yard (at not additional cost).  They even blew off my entire circular driveway without being asked. Throughout the process the entire group was friendly, polite, and professional.  They left my property without a trace of them having been there, except for the absence of the unwanted trees and limbs. I would recommend their services most highly and without reservation.  I hope that as their business grows, as it undoubtedly will, that they will maintain this level of excellent service and professionalism.

"Jerrod and Chance were fantastic! From our very first meeting they went above and beyond in explaining and even figuring out the complicated land survey I had. They didn't mind taking the time to fully explain concepts and processes I didn't understand. From just speaking with them you can tell they have a ton of experience and they care about the work they do. Rockin H&M took my vision for my fence and executed the project better than I could ever imagine! I even noticed some of my neighbors coming up to talk to them, as well as the land developers that are working on a new housing community across from my home coming over to speak with them. These guys were fast and efficient, without compromising quality. Their communication throughout the entire process was superb! I got 7 quotes for my fence and Rockin H&M landed somewhere in the middle. I decided to go with them because I didn't want to jeopardize quality for a lower price. Of all the companies I came across, Rockin H&M was the most knowledgeable, respectful, and caring. I am so grateful to have found them on Angi! I am beyond pleased with my new fence and my dogs absolutely love it!"

Sandblasting Services questions, answered by experts

DIY is possible, but professional services ensure even removal, safety compliance, and proper cleanup.

Your pro will most likely bill you at an hourly rate of $50 to $80 per hour to sandblast a door due to its small size. This type of job won't take long, so if you have other surfaces that need cleaning, schedule those tasks at the same time to get your money's worth from your pro's visit.

There are two ways sandblasting could be dangerous: improper use of the equipment so that the stream touches your skin, and air particles created during the sandblasting process. While the first is easier to avoid and fairly obvious, the second has the potential to be more serious and is much more difficult to understand. This is why you should always hire a pro to sandblast, as they understand the dangers associated with the process. If proper safety measures are taken, then sandblasting is rarely dangerous.

Sandblasting is useful when you need to strip material off a hard surface. Common reasons to sandblast are to remove paint, rust, or get a surface ready for a new material. You aren’t limited to surfaces like walls either—you can sandblast rusted tools, bicycle frames, cement, bricks, and many others. If what you’re sandblasting is still structurally sound, sandblasting can be a fast and inexpensive way to revive the original material.

The best way to sand a deck is by cleaning it, sanding the boards and stairs with 60- or 80-grit sandpaper, and sanding the railings and posts with 80-grit sandpaper. You should sand in the direction of the wood grain to avoid damaging the timber. When sanding your deck, use medium pressure and aim for an even sand. Pressing too hard with a sander can damage decks, as most are softwoods.
