Small jobs welcome

"Demetrius did a great job! His price is very reasonable and included mowing, raking, lawn trimming, blowing, and weed control in the crevice areas. A great value for the money with friendly and personable service. I would definitely recommend D.R. s Lawn Service!"

Customers say: True professional

"We hired Henry to do some work on the plant island on my front lawn. From the start communication was excellent, he is friendly and he came on time; we discussed the work that needed to be done and agreed on a very reasonable price. He and his crew did an excellent job removing the weeds, applying weed killer, fertilizing. Also cutting back some shrubs, a palm tree and straightening up and securing my hibiscus tree to a steel rod. Commended them on their quick but very satisfying work. They also cleaned up really well. We will definitely use them again."

Weed Services questions, answered by experts

Yes, suggesting companion planting and mulching to minimize new growth.

Too much clover in your lawn can indicate several issues with your soil. Clover can thrive in soils with abnormally high pH, low-cut grass, and low nitrogen. Amending these issues can push clover out for good.

Hardy perennial clover loves the low nitrogen and compact conditions that often come with poor, infertile soils. But other factors also contribute to a clover explosion, including drought conditions, cool temperatures, under fertilization, and over-irrigation. You’ll need to evaluate all these elements when planning to kill off the clover.

Poison oak is similar to poison ivy in that it's in the same family of plants. Poison oak is identifiable by its rounded-off leaves and hairy leaf texture. Tree-climbing varieties live primarily in western states while low-growing poison oak bushes occupy the eastern states. Treat poison oak like poison ivy to get rid of it permanently.

No, it's not really possible to completely prevent weed growth. Weeds are incredibly resilient—all they usually need is a tiny bit of dirt to sprout, so their eventual appearance is pretty much inevitable. However, you can definitely keep them at bay by getting rid of weeds as soon as you notice them. The longer you let them sit and grow roots, the more they'll spread.

The most effective way to eliminate quack grass without killing the grass nearby is to overseed the area, keep the seed wet until it grows, mow often, and regularly fertilize the area to promote healthy grass that can choke out the invasive weed.
