"Max was outstanding working with us as we tried to decide what we wanted. Max was extremely professional and answered all of our questions. "Rita and Mike first arrived on 6/1/2018 to receive the overall scope of work for all areas of the house, which also included the home exterior and yard. Work started on 6/5/2018 and completed on 6/8/2018; this focused mostly on the kitchen. Rita and Mike provided excellent workmanship, were timely in their arrivals, business-like, and friendly. A great husband-wife team working together, with many years of experience, both individually and together! I look forward to them returning in August to help me complete my other projects."

To further increase the chances of your windows surviving a hurricane, you can take additional steps like securing outdoor items, elevating HVAC units, and fortifying your home's foundation.

There are many materials to choose from, including picket fencing, wood slats, galvanized metal skirting, dog-ear fence panels, scallop wood fence panels, bamboo screens, and other decorative screens. You can search for materials at local big box stores like Home Depot or scour online home improvement sites. Good search terms to use are fencing, skirting, and privacy panels.

It’s best to opt for a lightweight roof, as a heavy roof adds a lot of weight and pressure to the support posts and hardware and destabilizes the structure. Vinyl is a good, lightweight option, as is a nice open trellis, louvered aluminum or vinyl slats, or fabric panels. Clear polycarbonate is another great option that offers seamless shelter and additional UV protection without completely obscuring the sunshine. You can also choose retractable coverings or an awning that you only use in wet weather or when you need additional shade.

Awnings offer a number of benefits, including:
