Small jobs welcome

"I had gutters installed, some waterproofing and more of a drainage system put in place. I called Groundup Leveling because I had water seepage into bedroom. Marcus was quick to respond and took time to explain and make suggestions. Entire team was pleasant and efficient. Reasonably priced with a good warranty. I would highly recommend them!"

"Excellent company and work crew. Rob was a great informative sales representative. Chris & Tom did an amazing job leveling and lifting out patio slabs. This really saved us over $20,000 from having to tear off our screen room and start all over from scratch! Took 4 hours to complete the process and was well worth the money. We highly recommend this company."
The homeowner's driveway had endured years of wear and tear, resulting in discoloration and numerous cracks across the surface. Additionally, the concrete slabs had become uneven due to the soil settling beneath them.
Due to soil settlement and poorly placed control joints, the customer's driveway had significant cracking. You can see that some stains have formed, indicating that the concrete lacks sealant protection.
The homeowner knew that their home's addition had experienced settlement damage when vertical cracks appeared on the exterior walls.
The homeowner became alarmed when they noticed stair-step cracking patterns emerging from the window frame in the exterior wall of the home.
Upon noticing significant cracks developing in the walls, the homeowner became concerned about their foundation's condition.

Customers say: True professional

"I used Faith Construction Group, Inc. to build a foundation for a pavilion as well as sidewalk and pad for the trash cans. Joseph and Jose were amazing. They are extremely detailed oriented. They marked the lawn with the spray paint to help me visualize my project. Joseph did a great job explaining what goes in different price options. They procured the city permit in a timely manner, and completed the job a week earlier than expected. The guys hauled the gras and left no debris in my backyard. I would recommend Faith Construction Group to anyone looking for reliable, honest, reasonably priced and fast service."

House Leveling questions, answered by experts

A good slump height really depends on the project, but there is a use for nearly all slump levels. For example, low slumps are best in projects that require structure, such as curbs and roads. High slumps often require additional reinforcement, but they flow more freely into hard-to-reach spaces.

There is no real alternative to underpinning, although mudjacking and polyjacking are other repair methods that can add support from underneath your foundation. Rather than placing supportive piers under your structure, these involve pumping a material under your slab to lift a sunken section back into its original position. Polyjacking, in particular, is sometimes a suitable solution for stabilization issues under slab foundations, but underpinning is often accepted as the best and most permanent solution.

Polyjacking and mudjacking can both be effective solutions for sinking concrete, but they have key differences. Polyjacking, which uses expanding polyurethane foam, is often considered a better option because the foam is significantly lighter than the cementitious material used for mudjacking. This reduced weight puts less pressure on the underlying soil and lowers the risk of future sinking. Polyjacking is suitable for any sinking concrete slab, while mudjacking is typically only recommended for non-structural concrete, such as sidewalks, patios, pool decks, and driveways. The primary drawback of polyjacking is its cost, which can be up to four times higher than mudjacking—as much as $25 per square foot compared to a maximum of about $6 per square foot for mudjacking.

The timeframe is generally a few hours, allowing for immediate use post-hydration, ensuring minimal disruption to surrounding activities.

Mudjacking typically takes 24 to 72 hours (one to three days) to dry and cure completely before you can resume normal use. The exact time can vary depending on the size of the project. Because the slurry mixture contains cement, it must fully harden to ensure that added weight from walking, furniture, or vehicles won't shift the concrete slab. A professional contractor can advise you on when the surface is safe to use. For comparison, if you use polyjacking instead, the polyurethane foam can dry in just a few minutes, but it's best to wait about an hour before use.
