"ProFormance Roofing took a photo showing that the problem was really a hole in my stucco. 3 other roofing companies wanted to charge me $1800 + to tear up the section of roof and replace it; none of them mentioned the stucco as the culprit. Interestingly, Performance was the only company I had come to give me an estimate that came out with two guys; one to go inside my attic and the other on the roof. This is how they confirmed the leak was coming from the stucco. None of the other companies wanted to go in the attic to look at the problem."

"Everyone at Solar Shield was very nice and professional. We had a few concerns when the moisture barrier was installed and we still had rain in our bedroom. Frank got it corrected the next day, and finished the roof the following week. The good news: very nice looking roof with no more leaks. The bad news: we got pictures of the hurricane straps installed and had the roof inspected by our insurance company. They found that the hurricane straps installed were not up to their standards and neither was the moisture barrier. They also found multiple slats (we didn’t have decking that covered the whole roof - old house) that were split and compromised during the work, so we were unable to qualify for any insurance discounts. Overall, we have a nice looking roof - top of the line from Solar Shield Industries. Hopefully, it will last a lifetime. But unfortunately, we have some decking remediation that needs to be done and we still need hurricane straps, which will probably be clips now. Not a big enough deal for me to raise a stink. I can retro clips and repair the few decking issues from the attic & under siding. And apparently, the moisture barrier is just not what the insurance company accepts as a “moisture barrier.”"
