"I opened the door to the garage one day and there was light coming in the original 1959 wooden garage door and i realized it was bowing out and the header was slipping down. I talked to garage door companies and they were unwilling to touch it because it would require structural engineering to bring up to hurricane code. No handyman would touch it because it was too big of a job for them, and I talked to several general contractors who would either refer me to a structural engineer who couldn't seem to coordinate with anyone, or they weren't interested because it wasn't a big job. One contractor said he only did highrises. And then I talked to Lenny, and he wound up coordinating everything and everyone. The county inspections, the extra electrical work, the engineering, the concrete work and the rebar work, custom sizes, everything. Very happy!
The crew came out, worked quickly & professionally, cleaned up after themselves. Lenny was very responsive and always returned phone calls in a timely fashion. The price was more than reasonable.

The inspection and detailed report (complete with DVD, hardback-bound color report) were all completed within 7days of my initial phone call in which I requested service. Much of the information contained in the report is highly technical, but was delivered in terms that made sense to a non-engineer. As an independent inspection service (not looking to find problems they can repair), UCI's primary motivation is to look out for the customer/client.
