"Hombre Concrete crushed it! I hired this company to poor an extensive swimming pool deck that meshed up to my Florida room. I could not have hired a better group of pros in the area. Mr. Ambler is always keeping a pulse on customer satisfaction by following up with his crews making sure everything is in order with the customer job request. The pitches and angles on my concrete deck are perfect so water drainage is not an issue. The craftsmanship of the expansion joint cuts are solid and decorative. After the job was done the crew made sure everything was cleaned up. Hombre concrete stands by their word and you better believe Hombre concrete comes through on time. Excellent work and excellent customer service are what you get. I could not be more pleased with this company."

"TAG property Maintenance was very knowledgeable and professional. The work was completed on time and of the highest quality. It was impossible to tell the difference between the repair and the existing surrounding concrete, which is exactly what we were looking for. We will definitely use TAG Property Maintenance for future work."

Concrete Resurfacing questions, answered by experts

How often you should resurface your pool deck depends on its material and condition. Concrete pool decks should be resurfaced every two to five years. Decks that are exposed to harsh heat and UV light may need to be sealed more often than ones that are mostly shaded.

No, hairline cracks in concrete are generally not a problem as they do not impact the strength and longevity of the concrete. Generally, cracks less than 0.3 millimeter wide don’t impact the structure. Hairline cracks can grow over time and weaken the structure, such as in a home foundation. Some hairline cracks can also cause leaks in a foundation. It’s important to watch the cracks to see if they grow. Contact a concrete contractor if you notice cracks exceeding 0.3 millimeter wide.

The easiest way to handle extra-wet cement is to pour it, let it harden, and then recycle it using one of the methods above. You can also crush it down and sell it for base materials, although this can be pretty time-consuming. Your best bet is to start with less concrete than you need and make more as you go to avoid this problem.

Properly maintained, resurfacing typically lasts 5-10 years. Factors like surface usage and exposure to chemicals affect longevity.

Seal joints, clean debris regularly, and address cracks promptly to maintain appearance and stability.
