"R.A. Beecroft responded immediately. I worked up a detailed drawing and emailed so he was able to give me a quote on the phone. We agreed and set a date which, surprisingly, was less than a week out. The crew came out, and with great courtesy and care, made the decision to hand dig the job instead of tearing up the lawn with a machine. They proceeded to dig the job and hand delivered the sod to the back canal where we agreed it would be placed. They dug the appropriate depth, installed side boards, formed reinforcement from rebar, and even drilled my existing pad to tie into the new sidewalk. After this they waited for the concrete truck and it arrived to pour. I'm very impressed so far, but this is where it gets even better. After the pour these guys treated this sidewalk like it was a newborn baby. I mean you've heard the saying, "watching paint dry" but they literally watched the concrete dry for hours and worked it like Michelangelo painting the Sistine Chapel. In the end it is perfectly formed exactly to my specifications, brushed ever so gently with nice anti slip ridges, and the next day they cut expansion joints in. Everything cleaned up and nice. Very courteous, caring, skilled and communicative with an unexpected but welcome follow up call to ensure my satisfaction. Thank you."

"John was very easy to work with and he did a great job. His prices were competitive, he explained what needed to be done, and he corrected conditions that had been a serious problem for a long time. He was prompt and completed the work professionally. I would highly recommend John for drainage work."

"I recently had a patio installed by Griffinâ s Concrete, and I am absolutely thrilled with the results. The patio is beautiful, and it has completely transformed my backyard into a space that I can enjoy with my family and friends. The process of working with Dave Griffin was smooth and easy from start to finish. I contacted them for an estimate, and within a few days he was able to give me one based on my measurements and pictures. He is very professional and knowledgeable and took the time to answer all my questions. The crew arrived on time and worked hard all day to get the job done. They were incredibly careful to protect my property, and they cleaned up everything after they were finished. We had to wait to seal it due to multiple days of rain, but he kept me informed throughout the week. The patio is even more beautiful than I had imagined. It is perfectly level and smooth, and the concrete finish is flawless. I went with the stamped look with a dark grey mixed in. I am so happy with my new patio, and I highly recommend Griffinâ s Concrete to anyone looking for a concrete contractor. He is professional, dependable, and affordable."

Concrete Cutting questions, answered by experts

The best thing to cut metal pipe is a durable pipe cutter that is made for metal. You may want to measure the diameter of the pipes before purchasing a pipe cutter to ensure it will be able to cut your metal pipes. Opt for a heavy-duty option to cut through metal like steel or cast iron.

Cutting rectangular ductwork requires careful measurements and the right technique. Use a measuring tape and pencil to mark the cutting lines accurately. Tin snips are excellent for straight cuts on smaller ducts. For more extensive or thicker rectangular ducts, a reciprocating saw with a metal-cutting blade is effective.

Ensure the duct is well-supported and secure while cutting to prevent wobbling and maintain precision. After cutting, use a metal file to smooth any sharp edges, ensuring safety during installation.

Your typical household tools will not cut a metal pipe. To cut a metal pipe, you’d need more specialized tools like a pipe cutter or circular saw. Do not attempt to use these tools without taking proper safety precautions and wearing safety gear. It’s usually safer to let a pro cut a metal pipe, especially if you’re not confident in your skills with a heavy-duty saw.

Welding is the process of using extreme heat—and, sometimes, pressure—to attach two pieces of metal. In contrast, metal fabrication is a more involved process that can include welding, sheet metal work, bending, and other forms of metal manipulation. Metal fabrication is a large-scale project that may or may not involve welding, while welding is more often a step in larger fabrication projects.

Costs depend on unit complexity, labor, wall mounting needs, and additional accessories like floating shelves.
