"I never contacted the provider or used this service in anyway. I have to

"These guys were great!! We had a delivery of a massive new front, all in one piece, very heavy. They handled it of total care and stored it in our garage with all the very long trim pieces for installation next day. Kind of an unusual item to deliver so was concerned about the glass, scratching, damage. Again, 5-star handling and very pleased!!"

"Derrick installed an interior barn door. He had to add a supportive header that the manufacturer neglected to tell us. He is professional, expert, fast and fair. Thanks Derrick."

Small jobs welcome

"From the first contact seeking info, the office staff were expert advisors, and quoted exactly what the final operations/dispatch team quoted-anyone who knows getting passed around in a construction materials supply company KNOWS that's an indicator of a well oiled machine-all involved are in alignment, like in a military unit. 6-STAR's. Second, cost - beat the competitors. Third, for the day before planning, the dispatch guy was incredible, on the ball, had me written down, was double checking everything, went through the details, made recommendations, Fourth_ day of, moving target of exact delivery time, dispatch again was perfect, had a sliding window and met the on-site time at the beginning of the window. Fifth- drivers were patient, already had relationships with crew doing the pour/finish, drivers got out of trucks (not lazy) and did all it took to get the material exactly where it was needed/had placement and volume dump SKILL. Coordinated with PM the proper location for the clean-out (great job! Thanks) Last: VALUE. I cant say enough about this, I have been doing construction all over the world. Best Price was a starting point, communications, on-time delivery, on-site work, and close-out, PERFECT. PERFECT. Stress free. And this was just an 11-yard driveway, meaning home owners should seek this company because small jobs are just as important to them and they will assist you if you don't have experience. I will DEFINITELY be using them again in the near future for my 72X48 steel building foundation and aprons. Thanks all! -D. Blanchard"

"I have been using her since 2008 and to date, she has performed 383 jobs for me.. It's a family business. Other than Sundays, she is always on call. She doesn't clean around furniture. She actually moves and cleans under it. She is honest, trustworthy and reasonable. The minimum charge is $50 and rates are by the room or pieces of furniture. Spot removal is normally $10-$15 and high rise building are an additional $10. No one else is allowed to clean our carpets - she is that good. If she can't get a spot out, it's not coming out. She routinely finds and points out stains, wear and tear, and offers suggestions for long term maintenance.

Upholstering questions, answered by experts

It is generally worth repairing leather furniture rather than replacing it, as it is typically more affordable and the material tends to retain its value. A typical repair averages around $250, which is significantly less than the thousands of dollars a replacement could cost. Even a full reupholstering, which can cost up to $4,000, may still be more economical than buying new. With proper care, repaired leather furniture can last for many years, making the investment worthwhile. However, if the underlying structure or frame of the furniture is damaged or malfunctioning, replacement might be a better option. The quality of the leather and the furniture piece are also important factors. For a definitive answer, it is best to consult a leather repair professional to assess your specific situation.

Doing your own upholstery work is possible, but it’s typically a better idea to leave the work to professionals. Without experience and the proper tools, it’s difficult to get a professionally finished appearance for your furniture, and many DIYers end up spending money on tools and materials only to hire a professional when they can’t get the fabric to look right. If you have reupholstery experience, feel free to give it a shot. However, if you’re not confident in your skill level or you’re working with antiques, it’s worth the money to hire a pro.

Yes, you can reupholster antique furniture, and it’s a great way to extend the life of your pieces and keep them looking fresh and new for years to come. In fact, since reupholstering furniture is significantly more affordable than replacing it, reviving antique furniture can be a cost-effective way to keep that family heirloom usable for much longer. It’s usually a good idea to leave antique reupholstering to a professional, as they will have the tools and expertise to ensure the piece isn’t damaged and looks professionally finished.

Costs depend on fabric choice, furniture size, cushioning, and labor. For significant projects, expect estimates between $350 and $1,200.

Upholstering allows personalization, extends furniture life, conserves resources, refreshes decor, and often costs less than buying new pieces.
