"Sean replaced our leaky pond liner & did an outstanding job !! He double lined it and used thicker material than what was originally used. He was professional, polite and showed up when he was scheduled. He honored his quote and we were very happy with the results. I definitely recommend Sean."

"Marcos adn his team were wonderful to work with. They came out when they said they would and really listened to what I wanted to accomplish. They put together drawings and then executed accordingly. Marcos is a very nice person and willing to do whatever it takes to exceed the customers expectations. I'm thrilled with the work and the continual follow up. This is a small business that truly cares about the customer and how the project looks, I strongly recommend Marcos, you will be thrilled you hired them!"

"I had 3 Landscaping estimates. I hired Prime Environmental Landscaping. He was more knowledgeable than the other landscapers. I hired him to build a 12 ft x 12 ft pergola in my back yard. He knew the building codes and the proper way to anchor it into the ground. I also had them install a 12 ft x 12 ft paver patio.Today, they just completed an overhaul of my front landscaping after the previous landscaper did a butcher job. Chris is a horticulturist and knows his plants well. His crew is hard working. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! ."

Fountains questions, answered by experts

Most pond installations take 3-10 days, depending on excavation, liner placement, and filtration setup.

Yes, it’s possible to DIY a plunge pool and shave labor costs off of the project total. If you’re considering a DIY build, keep in mind that you will be responsible for pool installation and landscaping (which may require excavation). This type of DIY project is best left to particularly handy homeowners who have prior pool installation experience.

Pond installation costs typically range from $1,500 to $10,000. The final price depends on several factors, including the pond's size, the materials used, excavation requirements, and any additional features such as waterfalls, lighting, or specialized habitats for fish like koi.

You have several options for your pond by getting your yard ready for the winter. You can winterize your koi pond by ensuring it’s at least 5 feet deep so it doesn’t freeze completely, installing a pond heater or aerator and having it run at all times, and installing a deicer if temperatures are dangerously low for an extended period. You can also choose to shut down your pond for the winter by removing all the wildlife in it and bringing it indoors, cleaning out the filter and pump, and then covering the pond with a tarp.

While they’re popular and have a lot of pros, the cons of river rocks include the following:

  • River rocks don’t break down or provide nutrients to plants.

  • These stones can get hot and scorch nearby plants.

  • River stones may heat the surrounding soil to inhospitable temperatures.

  • Rocks can block rainwater from seeping into the ground if installations are too thick or tightly packed.

Most downsides occur when using river rock as mulch in gardens and flower beds. However, you can still incorporate river rocks into your landscape as long as you use them in the correct ways.
