"Vinny, the  owner and general contractor, provided two, separate written quotes for the interior and exterior painting and repairs. This is a rental home which, at the time of the contract, was empty  and needed a complete repainting inside and out and an updating with the removal of wallpaper in three rooms.  The contracts clearly stated all of the services and materials to be provided, the warranty and an approximate completion date.
I had used Vinny before for interior painting on my personal residence and was extremely satisfied with the workmanship and schedule of  completion. The original wallpaper had been applied without wall preparation by the builder and several walls required texturing before painting could take place.  The contractor brought in to texture, covered all exposed areas in plastic before performing the texturing. 
On this project, the workmanship was also excellent and any items I asked to be addressed, after a segment of work was completed, was addressed and corrected. I was extremely happy with the workmanship and final look, both inside and out, but was disappointed that the project went over the proposed timeline.  However, I understand the challenge of finding reliable subs for the various stages of the project required and Vinny is unwilling to compromise on quality workmanship.  What really helped to make this lengthier timeframe more acceptable is that Vinny didn't require any down payment for any portion of the work or materials nor requested any partial payments during the entire project.
