Zsolt has terrible customer service and does not communicate. I have to continue to call to get status updates and each person I talk to has a different answer. Spare yourself the headache and go with another company. I love the product I ordered but this experience isn't worth the nice countertop."

All the contractors were very respectful and worked efficiently and completed the projects in about 10 days from start to finish. Shawn Whitehorse, our project manager did a great job ensuring the work was completed correctly. It was a very positive experience. Plastic was put up to reduce the dust in the rest of our house. They put paper down when they worked on the drywall to reduce the mess of dust and eliminate tracking drywall all through our home. Yes, provided you aren’t installing drywall over it. But you can skim coat it, apply new tile right on top, paint it, or stencil it. For more budget- and DIY-friendly options, you can install beadboard or apply decals. Just make sure that the current tiles are in good condition and prepped well for the paint or adhesive to stick.

The tile spacing you should use will depend on the tile and where you’re installing it. Choosing the right tile spacers to maintain a consistent gap between your tiles is tricky. Generally, tile spacing shouldn’t be less than 2 millimeters on walls and 3 millimeters on floors because of stress relief requirements. Getting it wrong can result in uneven tiles and early repairs.

Generally speaking, tiles are for indoor use, while pavers are for outdoor use. The main difference between travertine tiles and pavers is their thickness. Tiles are around 1/2 inch thick, and pavers are 1 1/4 inches to 2 inches thick.

Pavers are more rugged and can handle different weather. The extra thickness on pavers also makes them ideal for high-traffic areas.

The difference between floor and wall tiles is that floor tiles generally have higher strength and porosity ratings than wall tiles. Wall tiles are typically weaker and more likely to crack or become damaged under sustained pressure like high foot traffic. 

For this reason, avoid using wall tiles on floors and vice versa.
