"It all started out well after purchase of the initial Angie's list deal.  We promptly agreed on a date and a gentlemen came to measure and start the paperwork. Install date was set for 11/5/15. On 11/4, I was called about setting an install date.  My response was I already had one for the next day. Long story short, the company did not bother to tell me they had cancelled my appointment, they just acted like I never had one.  It was as though one side of the business did not know what the other side was doing. Since I made arrangements to be home on the 5th, I was not happy.  We finally settled on the 12th and the installation went smoothly enough.  However after completion, I noticed the installers had broken a piece of moulding in front of the patio door.  I know they realized they cracked it because they used clear caulk as a fix. I called the company and they said they would replace.  As of 11/30, the moulding still has not been replaced even though I was told the installer was picking up molding on 11/17.
I will say the person who came to measure and the lady who did the follow-up calling were professional. However, I can't say the same for the install side. The contact person was nice enough but he did not contact me to say the install was cancelled and to me it's taking way too long to replace the molding the installers broke.  I view it as a lack of integrity to cover up breaking the piece and not bothering to say anything to me.  The patio door is beautiful and I had planned to purchase a front door from them but have changed my mind.

"You'd think it would be easy to buy a screen door. Because of the configuration of my door opening, I contacted 5 companies that couldn't help me. On my 6th try I found Vivid Screens. "We had a two man crew, Marvin and Diego. They arrived on time as promised. The men worked steadily through both days, removing my old porch screen and old wood. They installed new vinyl covered lumber and new screening. They also removed my old wooden screen door and put a lovely door in its place. Once the job was completed, they spent additional time cleaning up everything. The old parts were hauled away, all of the surfaces were wiped down, and we had a beautiful new living space. Marvin and Diego thank you for an excellent job. Great Outdoors, you guys are awesome. For some reason this review doesn't allow me to give 5 stars for quality, service and value, so I'll tell you here, I give 5 stars across the board."

"It went quite well. I've only used them for some of repairs due to a water problem. They are very careful about how they leave the place and they have quality workmanship. As for the price, it's hard for me to say because it was an insurance claim. I'm planning to use them again."

"We originally asked for a price to fix the post on the front porch and paint the exterior of our stucco house.  AC quickly gave us an online estimate of $2600 from pictures we had sent. We then arranged a time that week for him to come over and look more closely at the house.  He agreed to do the job as we requested but had some reservations about painting without doing some fix up prep work first.  He had his painters come look at the house and they expressed even greater concern and stated the paint job would not last nearly as long without replacing some rotted wood and doing extensive caulking and stucco repair which was obviously needed.  After talking with them we agreed that the prep work should be done at an additional cost of $2400.  They first worked on the post on the front porch and did a great job.  They were able to repair the post instead of replacing it which we appreciated.  They then took 2 days working on the prep work prior to painting.  They did a very thorough job and were even able to remove some extensive vine debris with no evidence of its remains after painting.  AC had recommended using Sherwin Williams for the paint but we were unable to get the color we wanted even after working with a SW dealer who honestly tried very hard to match our request.  AC agreed to use the Behr paint of the color we had chosen.  They applied an oil based exterior primer prior to applying the finished coats.  The painters were excellent.  Dither was very knowledgeable and thorough.  He and his painters worked hard and payed attention to details.  Both AC and Dither did frequent walk throughs with us and addressed all our concerns.  At the final walk through we had noticed bubbling on the concrete on the front porch. Although a primer was not recommended with the concrete paint they had used, they returned and scrapped the paint and repainted with an oil primer and another topcoat. We requested that $200 be held back on the payment until this work was completed and AC agreed without hesitation.  The painters returned to repaint within the week. We are very pleased with their work and would use them again needed."

"Abraham and crew have been great and we are really glad we found them. We initially hired them to paint our 2-story foyer and ceiling. While they were there they also did the seal coating on the driveway. They did good work and got everything done on time for a very reasonable cost. While Abraham came to inspect the completed painting job, I asked him to give us a quote for our basement ceiling. We had a drop ceiling and were not happy with how low it was (~7') but were hesitant  to finish it because of how much we found out it could cost. Abraham quoted us a cost that was affordable enough that we decide to pull the trigger. We are very glad we did!
We did the work to tear-down the old ceiling and did our own electrical work, then we hired Abraham to come and do the finish work with the drywall and paint for the ceiling (~400 sqft). In terms of scheduling, Abraham is a very busy guy with a small but skilled crew and he does a lot of work himself (it's probably best to e-mail and text so he can respond when he gets a break), so it was a bit of a challenge getting our schedules to line-up but we finally did and they started work last week.  It took them about 4 days to get the framing done for the bulkhead, put up the drywall, tape, mud, sand, etc. but most of that was just waiting for the mud to dry. As a plus, when we initially hired him, we agreed to have them paint the ceiling but leave the top part of the walls (where the drop ceiling covered ~1') for us to paint because we were on a budget. When the time came to paint, Abraham asked us for the ceiling paint and wall paint because he wanted to paint the walls for us as well... at no additional cost! That really saved us a lot of time and effort!
We were initially a bit worried about doing work down in the basement because we just had new carpet installed. We taped some plastic down there to protect the carpets during the job in anticipation (it's always best to prep yourself to make sure it's done to your own standard). When the guys were done, they disposed of all the plastic and vacuumed the carpets nicely to make sure they were all clean.
All-in-all, Abraham is very accommodating and wants to make sure you are happy with the work. He'll come by personally when the job is done to make sure the job is done how you like it. If you need anything adjusted, he will happily do so. He is extremely affordable and charged us labor-only for our jobs... with no mark-up on materials (he provides receipts). He's a no-frills, straight-to-the-point kind of contractor and won't waste your time or money doing things you don't need. We are going to hire him again to do some pressure-washing around the house."
