"The main job objective was to install a 2019 Hayward Aqua Plus PL-Plus automation and chlorination system for our salt water swimming pool by removing the older, non-functional, Aqua Logic AQL-P-4 Goldline controller. This required wiring 120 VAC to the new controller, wiring the existing temperature and water flow sensors, wiring the pool lights and water pump, and reinstalling circuit breakers and an external 120VAC outlet. The swimming pool electrical bonding system was examined and maintained. Joe Giangrasso saved me money by recommending not replacing the original circuit breakers. A Hayward Goldline wireless base station, ALQ-BASE-RF, was also installed replacing the wired controller. In addition, the electricians, Joe and Robbie, fixed the problem with an outdoor lamp (the ground fault interrupter circuit had tripped) and, on a separate circuit, determined that the outdoor outlet on the rear deck was corroded and, as a result, provided a resistive drop to 88 VAC to three additional circuits in the three garages. Garage #2 had one outlet at 88 VAC, Garage #3 had 2 outlets, both at 88 VAC. The problem also read out as an open neutral line. When the outdoor outlet was replaced all four outlets were functional. The work was done quickly and economically. Joe Giangrasso, owner of Signature Properties, is very professional, honest, and knowledgeable. I would hire him again and I recommend him to anyone needing a first class electrician.."

"Ken and his helper were amazing. Ken came out to recommend and quote light fixtures in our unfinished basement, connect a couple of Ring floodlights, and replace the doorbell transformer and install a new Ring doorbell at my residence. Ken's work is clean, fast, and reasonably priced! I would absolutely hire him again!"

"Greg installed under-cabinet lighting in our country kitchen. We are delighted with the results. The under-cabinet lights are controlled independently from the recessed ceiling lights by a dimmer switch. No wiring is visible. Greg arrived at the scheduled time and was professional and courteous throughout the job. Greg will be our first choice for all of our future electrical projects."

"We had an old deck that needed to be replaced.  When the old deck came down we had to do some grading of the soil.  Jim worked with us to schedule himself and the tractor work to make this happen.  The new deck exceeds our expectations.  Jim has great attention to detail and made sure that every part of the deck looked correct and pleasing to the eye.  We added string lights and outdoor lights to the project and he was happy to add that as well.  It is very hard to find people who are excited about your project and take ownership of it.  We found that in Jim and his team!  We are SUPER happy and would reccommend Jim to anyone.

"     In order to complete to layout design I submitted a drawing of the room as well as a series of photos.  The website for Homemade design has a questionaire what helps define your overall tastes in design.  I joined Pinterest and started boards for furniture, lighting, bookshelves which were reviewed.  Homemade design comes to New York periodically to meet with clients not in the Boston area and this gave us a chance to meet and select furniture and upholstery at the New York Design center.  This is an extra charge but well worth it since I was completely overwhelmed.  They were extremely patient and guided me through the process.  At one point I decided to move the television which turned out to be a bad idea -- they explained why it would not worked and I concurred competely after I understood the reasons.  So, they are not afraid to tell you if you going down the wrong road. I live in a New York City townhouse and forget that I do not have a whol lot of space even though my house is huge for NYC. So, I had to be told how to "scale" everything to the space we had to work with, which was helpful
I purchased the service several months ago but was not ready to actually decide on the actual purchases until recently. So, the delay in completion is because of my schedule.  I now hope to finish everything by September.

Lighting questions, answered by experts

It’s fair to be concerned about handling pool lights or wiring in a pool filled with water. But fortunately, pool lights and swimming pools are designed to make it easy and safe to replace the lights without needing to drain the water. Instead, you can turn off the electricity to the pool as a safety precaution, unscrew the pool fixture, pull it up and out to the side of the pool, then change the bulb.

Common outdoor lighting issues include faulty or exposed wiring, burnt-out or damaged bulbs, and broken or faulty fixtures. Regular maintenance can help prevent many of these problems.

Flickering lights, intermittent outages, or physical damage to fixtures signal immediate repair to avoid electrical hazards.

Simple repairs like replacing bulbs can be DIY projects, but professionals should handle significant electrical repairs to ensure safety and compliance with electrical standards.

Inspect for burnt-out bulbs, secure connections, and protect from water exposure to maintain functionality.
